My alarm clock is 10 feet from the bed. I still hit snooze for an hour (and then the alarm stops altogether). I have developed a talent for getting up, hitting snooze and falling back asleep instantly. The 10 minutes between snoozes is the best time for interesting dreams. I use to have the alarm cranked up to high volume but I would forget to turn it off on weekends I was out of town and the lady downstairs was bothered by it. I need to attach a caffeine IV drop to the alarm clock.

My snooze is only 4 minutes, so it's more tiring than anything!
