Thanks. It's just paint. Sherwin Williams' "Kirsch Red"
Rosie, there's lots of decorate-by-numbers books out there. I'm fond of Chwistopher (sic) Lowell's "7-layers" series. His TV show is good, also. But I recommend taping it so that you can fast forward through the cross-dressing skits. ("We LOVE that! Don't we girls?")
Heh...it's not just the paint. If that were MY house, the table would have tons of junk piled on it, there would be obvious fingerprints on the cabinet (if I hadn't managed to bust it already), and everything would be messy.
*sigh*
I try to flylady, but I fall off the wagon regularly. And the dogs being what they are makes it far harder. Not that the cats help any either, but...
Mornin' LF!
Your dining room really does look lovely!
I used to watch Christopher Lowell every day when I was home with Becky. I'm a big fan of his decorating techniques and shortcuts too.
He's quite "swishy", but a terrific designer!
I believe he has his own line of homewares at Burlington Coat Factory, doesn't he?
ROTFL!! He is a bit too swishy for me, though he does have some great ideas from time to time. I love his idea of a closet designed for accessories that you can pull out when the season calls for them. You don't have to go searching through the attic or anything, it's just there, and you can easily change out decorations as needed.
