You know, other than Algebra, I think Jr. is hangin' on. Once grades are out again we may have to rethink this whole math thing (put him in a different class).
We still get the normal teenage crap at home. But it's been rather amazing to watch him in this year's Christmas production. He wouldn't have been doing so much if he'd been playing football. But he's got a significant part in several scenes.
He seems to have a natural instinct to react on stage, especially when something goes wrong. He can adapt immediately.
We've got adults who have done this for 20 years who still can't do that.
My freshman year, I failed "Into to Algebra 1", took it again my sophmore year, this time they just passed me, then in my junior year, I naturally failed "Intro to Algebra 2" and would have had to have taken it again my senior year except they cried uncle with me and put me in a "Just please learn THIS math so you can function in the world" class.
I amazingly learned a LOT in this class that I had missed in my younger years.
Maybe he ought to re-think the football idea, and start thinking Theatre Arts.
