Well, the kids and I are finally home.
PE left Thursday, while I stayed another day. Then, I lost my keys. We took my mother's house apart four times, drove to White Settlement and combed the front yard over there (we moved a desk from there to our house) and inspected the interior of the house. We called my Aunt Grace in Granbury, where we had Thanksgiving, and nothing. No one found even a single clue.
We looked at mother's again; nothing. I was grimly facing the reality of calling a locksmith. I decided that I had to stay another night (not really having a choice anyway). Then, this morning as I was putting away the bed-clothes, I asked my mother how long a certain pillow had been in the floor. ACK! I picked up the pillow and there were my keys!
I was beyond ready to go home and doing the 2J shimmy. It is the small things we often take for granted that we are the most thankful for.
Good Afternoon All; pleasant afternoon putting up the tree and its lights. 550 white mini-lights and 450 white rice lights. Untold number of clips. The tree fairly glows, it does.
All done to suitable musical accompaniment. FOTR.
Gypsygirl is a bit perplexed but appears to enjoy the new addition to the living room.
What an adventure! Oh, dear, I'm glad you found it again.
