I'm learning French on my own, as I go along. I think the above means: "It's that I have already told you that I'd rather go shopping than do nothing."
How am I doing? I can't speak or write French, but do understand it, especially the written form.
I know a little of a few languages, but, unfortunately none of them well. Que vas a hacer?
Good lord, I don't know. I am a truly gifted monolinguist. Studied Greek and Latin roots in grade school... Spanish in high school and college... it has given me great facility in English but no abilities at all in any other language.

I took a bit o' French in college. Hated it. And that is saying a lot for me. I am the only person I know who thinks learning Arabic would be fun (not to mention more marketable than Hebrew).
