The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Transmission...hmmm...is that very expensive?

Not that it matters, even slightly expensive is outta the question! Especially if we have any hope for the jedis to have some sort of Christmas.

There's a kind of peace with knowing that there's really no point worrying about getting the car fixed! At least for the rest of this year. We'll see after income tax time...we always get a bit back.

I really am amazingly cheerful. I've got a great life...not so good materially, but just great otherwise.

though... there was a really funny woman seated next to me for the flight down today. She was a nervous wreck, popping Valium like tic-tics. Completely freaked out that she might miss her connection... not because of the delay it would cause, but because she was afraid that her baggage would get to the destination before she did. It was really odd.

I decided to sleep. had a crummy middle seat and didn't want to talk to her anymore.

Exactly, my FRiend! I've got a great family, really sweet neighbors, trusting friendships and some pretty nice chickens... Tarayzza never had it so good! :-)

That would weird me out too. She must have had a stash of some sort in that bag to be so worried about it arriving before her.

And middle seats are the absolute worst!

So, I just guess I will...

Now just SHUSH! Not funny!

You know what you need? Ocean air.

Get thee to the beach ASAP and spend a day breathing in the breeze off the waves to clear out the crap.

And remember you've got plenty of friends in sunny Miami!

You should go in for tests...

I don't know what tests, but that's what I think...

Like in the hospital!

I'm convinced God made me to live on the shore. Maybe I should join the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

AAACCK! That's where all the germs are.

Wife said she really gets frustrated because the doctor has never heard one of my coughing fits. Trouble is, I can't make happen on command. Maybe I should carry a recorder.

I'm off Thursday for Veteran's day. If the antibiotics aren't working, I'll go see him again.

I'm wondering if it's not something environmental? Something in your workplace or home?

I dunno...hmmm...I'm tired and maybe not making much sense (or even less sense than usual.) Also, I'm dreadfully behind in what's going on in the Hole since my absence.

Hate them middle seats. We were about to pull away from the gate, and they let us move around to fill some empty seats... I got an aisle with nobody in the middle.

But then a bunch of late-comers boarded at literally the last second... and I had to go back to my middle seat. Nuts. :-)

It's what i get for waiting too long to ticket my flight. I get much better seating if I get it more than a week in advance, but this one I neglected until like last thursday... my own dumb fault it is.
