The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hi OT!

Glad to hear that no strange appliances have shown up at your front door, seeking refuge from Guido.

I think the toaster is going to network the other appliances and stuff in the pawnshop after they close for the day, then Guido's partner makes the fatal mistake of trying to toast a bagel. I haven't figured out how Guido catches onto the toaster yet.

Apparently I'm not the only one who's leery of toasters.

Maybe Guido takes the toaster apart after his partner meets his demise and discovers...??

I think the toaster would fry Guido if he tried such a thing.

Unless it was part of the toaster's sinister plan...

Good evening and good night!

I'm heading to bed here, I think. Maybe I'll actually get up in time to do something before work tomorrow...I've not been good about that lately!

Sleep well then, chica.

I didn't get out of the office until 7 pm and my mom let Alyson take a nap until just before I got home. *deep sigh*

It'll be a while before I can hit the hay.

Long naps aren't always a good thing where kids are concerned! Heh...I remember dealing with younger siblings bouncing off the walls until midnight because someone decided to let them nap through dinner...

Hope you're able to get a good, sound sleep to make up for having to stay up a little!

Good night!
