Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Morning OT - good plumbing job. Late night - last nite, turned out the HS concert was the city symphony. Pretty good music. Did desert and coffee afterwards. Got home at 11. wow, we're turning into party animals.
Christmas music, or ?
Morning EGE; sunny sort a, got to get Gypsygirl walked.
SYL
Yeah, breakfast is a good idea, don't usually want any until about 10:30 or so, but with these temperatures...
Got on an old "chamois" shirt, but thinking of changing to an old sweatshirt!
Going to try another bow in awhile, but don't want to bend it too much and crack the thing while it's this chilly!
How many sweatshirts does a guy in Florida own? A few? or a good number?
I have more sweaters and sweatshirts than t-shirts, I wonder if it's opposite the further South one goes :~D
Good morning!
I remember my daughter telling me the same thing when I was wondering why she wanted more sweaters when she already had one.
"Dad, sweaters in Syracuse are like T shirts in Miami."
I found out that was true later when I visited in Februaray, wore a sweater the entire time I was there.
However, I own 2 sweatshirts ;-) One of which was purchased on a trip to Syracuse, when I found out you can't go jogging there in just a T shirt and shorts.
Got breakfast. Cat has breakfast. Think I'll rewatch that movie I fell asleep on last night.
What were you watching?
BTW, I probably should have warned you that Word has major problems with my grammar and spelling in that story...red and green squigglies everywhere.
But it'll look OK printed, I think! If *I'm* using incorrect grammar, it's OK for Word to flag it (though even then I find it's often incorrect), but I can't help it if my characters use poor grammar!
Yowsers! That IS cold for you folks!
Good job! How are you liking your sunroom?
I'm ready in the gift dept.; only have one more thing. Now to wrap them, and clean my house (YIKES!!!) That will take the full two weeks that I have til Christmas, but I only have a week before the boys get home.
Paul called last night for my Buttermilk Cake recipe; he's making gifts for friends, and he'll be home on Wed. David flies in on Thursday.
I'll be getting into the Christmas spirit BIG TIME this afternoon. A local chorus is leading a Messiah Sing at our Parish this afternoon!! I haven't been to one in years, and the Score I ordered came in last Tuesday. I've even highlighted the alto part on every chorus in the work, so I'm all ready!
Have you ever heard of the Tallis Scholars? They are an a cappela group that does a lot of Medieval and Renaissance music. Clare and I saw them in Boston last night. Their voices blended so well together, and the parts continually moving against one another was just gorgeous!
EGE - about 50-50; pieces of the Nutcracker, some Manhiem (sp?) steamroller, Straus, Mozart and Rimsky-Korsakov. Bout an hour and a half. Had the local weather guy narrating the Night before Christmas. Fun evening, neighbor's daughter plays violin.
This time of year I usually wear a corduroy shirt and a sweater in the house. A bit more when we go out. :-)
You know, they teach that in public school...
Everything in life is a simple shape. It's just that sometimes alot of them get combined and they look confusing.
No halo for you today....
