I'm usually a morning person...but Mondays are a little different...I hit snooze a record number of times this morning.
I think it's time to clamp down and move that alarm clock to where I can't reach it in the mornings!

Gack! That looks a lot worse in print than I meant it. Hope I didn't come across in a nasty way!

My alarm clock is 10 feet from the bed. I still hit snooze for an hour (and then the alarm stops altogether). I have developed a talent for getting up, hitting snooze and falling back asleep instantly. The 10 minutes between snoozes is the best time for interesting dreams. I use to have the alarm cranked up to high volume but I would forget to turn it off on weekends I was out of town and the lady downstairs was bothered by it. I need to attach a caffeine IV drop to the alarm clock.

Phew...glad someone responded.
I've been sitting here feeling guilty every since that first post o' mine. *sigh* Sometimes I really worry about intent getting garbled in transmission!

My snooze is only 4 minutes, so it's more tiring than anything!

You could have hit self-abuse and pulled it, and then we could have yelled at you about it ;~D

That does sound good...
After payday on Thursday, I'm gonna buy me some BEEF! I'm working my way through the tail end of what's left in the freezer, and it's not all that exciting...

I got a paycheck this weekend, and will go do a bit of shopping today... gonna stock up on meat for the freezer. Need to start thinking about Christmas presents too. Do you think 8 is too young for The Hobbit? Considering that for my nephew.

Depends on the eight year old, I guess! I think I wasn't much older than that if any when I first heard it or even read it myself...can't remember exactly. But I was into books from very, very early on.
There's a nice illustrated edition out there! My brother gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago. Do you think 26 or so is too old for The Hobbit? ;-)

Hi all...
Well, the best thing I have to say about my weekend is, thank God (literally) that my hard drive died on the first weekend without homework I've had all semester.
Yup. Came home Friday, it was dead. Spent an hour on the phone with tech support, got them to mail me a new one. Took the old on to Best Buy in desperate hope they can salvage something. Spent Saturday sitting around hoping the hard drive would be delivered (it wasn't).
So. My best case for NaNo is that I'm four days behind. My worst case is that I only have 4000 words. I hope I'll be able to pick up the hard drive from wherever UPS will take it after failing to deliver, tonight after class.
What utter, utter fun.

We need to get Luke a new "basic" lamp for his room. Right now we're using a hallogen that we'd really like to replace.
I'm thinking of going to Lowes and getting a free standing lampost. Then I'll start reading the "Chronicles of Narnia" to him.

Yeah, I need a clock with a shorter snooze. Unfortunately I am fully capable of resetting the alarm for 20 minutes later and then falling asleep instantly.

Gosh...I wondered where you were! I was about to ask for a search party.
Sorry to hear about all that! What horrible timing...though at least you didn't have homework on top of everything else!

Yeah... and hopefully I didn't lose 3 novels in progress, my code thus far, and the start of my semester project permanently. Ugh.

You'll hear back on that today?
I lost everything I had written in Germany to a hard drive problem. I didn't have any easy way to back anything up, but I guess that's not a good excuse. Granted, most of it wasn't any good...but it was mine.
