Sigh... yes, it's a shame. Too few good people in this world, and they keep doing things like putting themselves between me and danger.
Gosh, it's late, and tomorrow's night will run even later. I'd better get to bed now.
In the last letter the strange dreams sound like morphine. Need that infection under control. Sounds like he is getting good care. Andy sounds like a wonderful man.
O Lord, preserve our gallant Marine and his mother and father. I pray you will keep him with us. We need him.
Republic of Viet Nam 1966 - 68 (so long ago.)
Welcome, Iris7. I hope you stick around.
One of the benefits of hanging out in the Hobbit Hole is that vets get a Hobbit Hole pocket knife. You've certainly earned yours. Drop me a freepmail, and I'll send one out.

Good mornin'.
Am picking up She-who-needs-ritalin's slack today. Won't be around much. *harumph*
Good mornin'!
Stayed up real late and still got up ontime (early for me)... the world must be gonna end today.
LOL!
Guess we've gotta do our best, then! ;-)
All this will be clearer after the travel plans for the wedding have been figured out. But why Ben had to go and fall for a gal that's from about as far away as you can get in this country, I don't understand...so inconvenient. Heh...
Good morning!
Still icky out, but it's warmed up to above freezing so it's not as slick as it was, thank goodness!
AND I remembered my pen drive today! Will wonders never cease? Considering I've forgotten it every day for nigh on a week, that's a small miracle in itself.
One more day 'til payday. I can't wait! Real grocery shopping is starting to sound awfully exciting.
Got my cholesterol back. 170 It was 168 last time, so I thinkn I'm maintaining pretty good!
dead?
It's just restin'!
Good morning everyone!
Sounds excellent to me!
Ya know, I've never had mine checked...but in general I take after my Dad's side of the family where health is concerned, and they typically can get away with eating anything they want and still have good cholesterol and blood pressure levels. Lucky me!
On the other hand...there are diabetics on that side of the family, too. What's the adult onset type? So I guess there's a downside, too.
Heh! We're doing school as fast as we can today...we're going over to a friend's house after lunch.
Morning.... ugh. So tired. At least after tonight, our group project is done. I'll still be insanely busy tomorrow and Friday, but it'll be on my own, nobody else depending on me.
I'm determined to get back into writing 2000 a day until this thing is finished. I'm right on the brink of hitting that stage where it's like running downhill...almost. Still toiling uphill, but I think I can see the peak.
I'm supposed to e-mail Stephen with some requests for illustrations...to see what he thinks he's capable of. We'll see how this works out!
Cool... I'm rootin' for ya!
Good going on the cholesterol!
Three notes, a C, a Eb, and an G, walk into a bar.
The bartender says to them, "I'm sorry we don't serve minors here"...
So the E-flat leaves and the C and the G have a fifth between them.
I drink a cup of tomato juice every morning because I'm supposed to have vitamin C to help with the absorption of my iron supplement. I can't tolerate the vitamin C tablets or orange juice, they make my stomach feel sour, you know? But I can tolerate this tomato juice and 8oz contains 100% of the daily requirement of vitamin C!
I still miss my Harvest Blend bagels, though. I wish they hadn't stopped carrying them. I still complain heartily to any Walmart worker who will stand still long enough to listen, every chance I get.
