Shameless.
It weren't even a funkle. You're just jealous.
Only a little. :-)
Evenin' everyone!
Sorry I missed the Precious again. ;-D
Evenin' Miss Rutheeee! :-)
Hello there!
Is it safe to ask if the audit is over yet? *grin*
Some of us try to be gracious winners.
It's safe to ask... but it ain't over yet. Was even tonight answering some more questions from the audi-dude...
[sigh] It really blows. There's probly some more questions to come yet. then they'll think of some more things they wanna test, so they'll come on back and mess with me summore.
I'll prolly be in da bay area next week, though I haven't ticketed yet 'cuz I don't know what days to be there. Prolly be there the week after that too.
Yippee. :-)
hehehe... I see you're still learning... :-P
[ducking]
I can feel the excitement just ~oozing~ from that "yippee", Ramius.
Don't hold back now. Just let all of that joy and merriment spill out! *laughing wickedly*
No, I'm just a decent human being.
Bwah. Sorry. Can't say that with a straight face.
What areas are Silver Coho salmon habitats? I get frozen filets at Trader Joe's that are just delicious!
yip... uh... yip... uh... how did that go again?
Good story here: [snif]

What *is* it with these gyrenes that they seem to keep finding such awesome people?
Wonderful story. I can't begin to express how proud I am of those folks in uniform. Gets me choked up, it does.
Alyson must have read it too cuz she's starting to fuss. *sigh* Means only one thing, time for me to go. VEY slack.
Nighty night Ramius!
*waves good night to the Hobbit Hole*
You just reminded me I had a bottle of BV Pinot Noir in the fridge. I'm on a search for a good Pinot, and that's one of the better ones I've had. Some are just NASTY! I don't care for something too sweet, but I don't want anything too dry either. It's tough finding a nice red wine that meets those requirements as a nice sipping wine rather than something with meals.
Are y'all having high winds? It has been downright blustery all day! Right now I can still hear the wind howling!
I don't really like red wines for sipping. My favorite is a sauv blanc, followed by a riesling. Mmm... I might sip a Shiraz, though.
I really hate how they cram all those really neat Christmas specials in the first week or two of December, and by the time Christmas actually rolls around, they are nowhere to be found! Ticks me off!
Silver Salmon (Coho) are in all the same places, same rivers, as the King Salmon (Chinook). But the migration runs are at different times of the year.
Silvers tend to be smaller, in the 5 to 15 pound range even when mature. Kings stay at sea longer and are bigger when mature, in the 25 to 100 pound range.
Silvers are probably the best-tasting of all the salmon. The meat tends to be a deeper pink, and has a sharper more intense salmon flavor. It is probably the *perfect* fish for barbecue.
In the Puget Sound (here in WA) there is also a resident population of silvers that does *not* go all the way out to sea, but they stay in the sound for a couple of years. They don't get very big, only maybe up to the 5 to 7 pound range, but WOW are they good eating.
There's a resident school of these little guys that apparently lives just about thirty yards off the end of my dock. Catching them is like catching a big trout, and they hit nicely on a spin-cast rig. Perfect size for a large frying pan.
