Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I read a book once where the magic word (to key the wizard-melting spell, of course) was "arglefraster". If you do it right, nonsense words can enhance things beautifully.

When you get up to get another glass of water, would you mind bringing me a cup of cofee?
Only getting three hours of sleep last night is catching up with me. And the afternoon is crawling along...

I'm wishing I didn't have class and music night tonight. Still have some sort of illness.
But...at least I'm not functioning on three hours of sleep. You make me feel better. ;-)

I was just looking in the jedis halloween candy and found this sucker that said it was from our local police department, said it on the stick, right? But on the sucker it's self, it had something printed in white...I thought it said "Suckle Up!" I thought "What on EARTH????"
Oh, it says "BUCKLE UP"! ROFLOL!!

You guys seem to be pretty well. I thought about posting, but I'm kinda skeered to.
You know, my Dad spanked me a few times. That's all it took. It wasn't like they paddled me regularly. But I can think of a few times in my life - and in my siblings' - when that was exactly what was called for, and it nipped problems in the bud.
And anyone that can't see the difference between a spanking and a beating shouldn't be calling others ignorant white trash, IMO.

But...at least I'm not functioning on three hours of sleep. Here's hoping tonite is an official dress rehearsal and we don't have to stop and fix technical stuff. If we can run the show straight thru, I can be home by 10 p.m. Either way, starting tomorrow night we have an audience, so we'll get home a lot earlier.
It really gets easier from here on out.
