Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning!
We're supposed to get real snow tonight...actual accumulation. Kewl... But then it's supposed to switch to sleet and freezing rain. Not kewl.
At least today will be nice!
Sorry about your classmate, Jen. That's sad.
I'm with ya on the WY ranch, LF! Except...I dunno about raising alpacas. Maybe something more conventional. Depends on who's with me!

Good morning everyone!
Anybody getting snow? Not us. I had hoped it would snow, but it's still dreary and rainy and cold.
To: 2Jedismom
Our snow won't arrive until after midnight.
It's sunny right now!
Any luck with the van? You did get some ideas from that thread at least, right?

I don't know if Steve got some ideas or not...I think so. We didn't try putting the fuse in with the doors shut. If it's something to do with the dome lights, putting the fuse in with the door shut would keep it from blowing. Then if it is the dome lights, we can disconnect them.
We'll try it when we get a chance...
To: 2Jedismom
Good luck! Hope it's something that simple.

Wouldn't that be nice?
Steve got in last night at 10:30pm. We really did think it might snow and irregardless, it was gonna be wet and cold. I heard him shuffling stuff around out in the garage and went out to find him trying clear out the other side of the garage for the truck.
So I put on a jacket and slippers and we cleared up the garage at 10:30pm! It was C-C-CCOLD!

Again, thank you for your service.
I just responded to a friend on the Black Hawk crash thread. I'm so distressed about that, as I'm sure you can imagine. I won't look at the ones that fly over my house the same again...my appreciation has really deepened.

Problem is, I forgot I was 50 lbs. heavier the last time I wore them. I spent the whole scene holding them up...That's a GOOD problem to have!

That's a GOOD problem to have! Indeed it is. I just wish I hadn't found out at the last minute.

We're supposed to get real snow tonight...actual accumulation. That means our presence is required at the grocery story today for milk, eggs and TP!
