Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
"What's the temperature?"
"One".
Sadly, this is true for me. It's cold...
No. Llama wins because of the name. Llama. Llama. Llamallama llama llllaaaaaama!
One what? Surely you are having more degrees than that.
Well... no wonder they need so many, if they'll small. How're ya sposed to pack stuff on 'em if they can only carry little bitty packs?
How's he feel about llamas? Llamas are big, and they simply *live* to carry stuff. They really seem to get off on it. Llamas actually *like* having jobs... dunno how Alpacas feel about it. Sorta like shepard dogs... their whole raison d'etre is all about having a job to do. Look at Border Collies... they gotta have a job to do or they go totally nonlinear... a border collie would *completely* be into the idea of carrying really important stuff in a backpack. At least... that's what you'd tell him.
He had two llamas for awhile, that he rescued at an auction. He found other homes for them at a llama refuge of some sort. They're magnificent.
He got alpacas because they are small enough for Jesse to handle in 4H.
Does R.E.I. sell an Alpaca Pack? They make backpacks for most pack animals. Wouldn't be surprised if they made an AlapacaPack. :-)
One, farenheit.
By the way... if my heater sets the smoke detector off, that's bad, no? I'll have to get someone to look at it tomorrow. Don't worry. My apartment temp hasn't dropped below 58, even at night, and I've got three blankets, one electric, layered pjs, and space heaters. Nice and warm.
Maybe I should start a thread saying "Series help needed! My heater is stuned!"
Actually, Jen, I don't think any of us are concerned about your apt getting too COLD!
Why is it setting off the smoke alarm?
I don't know, but I haven't used it before. It's a gas heater... I turned it on, and the flames got bigger. Then the smoke detector went off, so I turned off the heater.
Uhm... something's not right with at least one of those systems. Just my thought.
That was my thought too. I'll try to get someone to look at it tomorrow. Sigh. Of course this is going to be the coldest day of the year, wait and see... it's not bad inside, of course.
Nah... January will be lots colder. :-)
Hehehe...
Actually everyone here is whining about the temperature... guess they're not used to long cold snaps.
The llama is a quadruped which lives in the big rivers like the Amazon. It has two ears, a heart, a forehead, and a beak for eating honey. But it is provided with fins for swimming.
Llamas are larger than frogs.
Llamas are dangerous, so if you see one where people are swimming, you shout...
Look out, there are llamas!
Hmmm, my obscure Monty Python reference has done kilt the thread.
Guess I'll head to bed then.
But I just got here. Rehearsal ended a midnight. We've been home about 20 minutes. I'm just winding down.
It gets easier after tonite. Really. It does.
Heh...I have to go find a new costume piece, actually to wear under a costume. In the final scene we're all in white robes, so you have to have white unders. The best thing I've found is a pair of white surgical scrubs.
Problem is, I forgot I was 50 lbs. heavier the last time I wore them. I spent the whole scene holding them up...
g'nite, see y'all at breakfast.
Look out, there are llamas!
Llamas!!! Oh fer cryin out loud... everybody outta the pool!!! there's Llamas about!
Ack... must be those dangerous Salvadoran Jumping Llamas. I hate those... they're almost worse than the famed Ecquidoran Pouncing Llamas... and I don't need to tell you how merciless those things are...
Good morning! Have a Nice Day! Let a smile be your umbrella! Thank you for shopping at Whatever! Put a tiger in your tank! Things go better with fizzy sugar water! Now with 20% fewer carbs! T.G.I...never mind!
Love the alpaca pic. When Big'ol and I get rich we're gonna buy a ranch in WY, be hermits, and raise alpacas.
If you like llamas, you'll like this gem from the good ol' days of the internet. ;)
