Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

You betcha! I can dig the moms that have kids on leashes at the mall. My mom tied me to the picnic table when we went camping!
And we always put a line on kids on the boat. When we had a little one on the dock one summer, I tied her to the middle of it so she could get almost to the edge all the way around ;~D
It's either that, or not letting them go at all, which frankly, isn't very fun for anyone.

Good morning. It's cold... I hate Mondays. Slept to within two minutes of the alarm, and I had trouble sleeping last night.
Oh... I see... the people with plows just weren't working yesterday! Today the parking lot is being cleaned off. Still nothing done for the road, but oh well.

My throat hurts.
I want something hot and lemony, but I don't have it.
That's kinda scary about them not plowing right after the snow, regardless of what day of the week it was!

How about herding cats?
I think training dachshunds is harder.

I'm probably wrong, but I get the impression that here, the snow usually melts off the road the next day. Days where it snows and then gets cold for weeks just don't happen. Only it's happening today at least. Brrr. It's about 12 degrees right now.
I'm tired and I don't wanna go to class because we're going to have something else thrown at us, I know it. I hate Mondays...

I like having snow stay around! Until about the first week of March anyway. Then I want it gone overnight.
But I suppose the beauty of Colorado is that you just drive up a little bit and you have snow, right?

I don't mind it staying around, as long as it's off the roads!
But I don't like cold. If I'd wanted to experience 12 degree weather I'd have moved to Vermont.

It's in the thirties here! And feels warm...guess because there isn't much of a wind, and it's pretty humid.
