Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

My kids are great and we never got anything more than a thunderstorm, thank God!
And you ain't kidding about Autumn. She's so big already!
Man, time goes way too fast, doesn't it?
Good luck on the adoption, Seamus. That's one lucky kid!
You adopting domestically or international?

Do you remember the first gift you got her? Or a memento of your first date? Heh...depends on which time we were dating. We dated and broke up in college, then were off and on again for the next 6 years...

Maybe something practical, like a new vacuum cleaner.

I just decided to leave. Best thing you did for yourself all day, IMHO.
I'll never understand that Friday last-minute policy implementation thing. It's almost as if they feel the weekend happiness in the office and strive to crush it before blossoms into something far worse.
Like an improvement in employee morale or some such horrid thing.

Pick an era..any era!
Seriously, I'd go with something in the I-decided-you-were-the-one era.

What's wrong with ya!?
Vacuum cleaners are never appreciated as much as a new set of golf clubs or bowling lessons. *wink*

I know - poor kid. She's already filling into her "Robinson Frame". At four and a half - she's 3 foot seven and already in size 6 clothes.
Last night she read me the first 3 pages of "Hop on Pop" - all by herself. Homeschool is already paying off - big time.
Corin - How have you been? Last time, I remember you were having some family issues. I hope your life is less stressful at this point?
To: ItsOurTimeNow; RMDupree
I hope your life is less stressful at this point? BWAHAHAHAHA!
Seamus, that's the best laugh I've had all week!
We're hangin' on.

Well I guess a down payment on a space trip is out of the question then. ~snicker~
Try to recapture that moment. The love part, not the blowed-up shuttle part.

*laughs at your comment to Corin*
Oh my! The fun never ends in the Stormhands household. Corin will forever be to me a source of inspiration and admiration with what he deals with.
I'm proud as punch with Autumn's progress! Way to go!

So I suppose the 60" plasma is out, too? Gee... it looked so nice in the store...

LOL...glad I could help!

Corin will forever be to me a source of inspiration and admiration with what he deals with. Is that what he's the source of? I thought it was thankfulness that my life's not that weird. Yet.

Exactly how proud IS punch? *smile* I've never "got" that saying.
Proud as a pickle, on the other hand, makes perfect sense! lol
To: Ramius
A 60" plasma TV will do quite nicely actually.
Especially with a LOTR ROTK EE next to it. ;-D
