But first I need to straighten up that room so I even have space to exercise. I've been awfully lazy lately. Blame writing...though it's not really the whole story.

My character is starting to fall for the guy, though she's not admitting it even to herself yet.

Well, congrats!

I have decided to take a trip to the used bookstore. Sell some of my old stuff and look for Christmas presents... I only have a month before I'm going home, so I need to be all shopped up by then.

I should be able to get my word count in this evening, though. I hope. I was going to do extra last night, but... well, I got home and felt like watching a bloody and sad video.

I still have Indy 500 posters in my basement. Some other kinda car racing, too, but I can't remember what!

The guy who lived there before me was really into racing...also built model cars. The room that's now my bedroom still has marks on the wall because he had shelves on every wall and dozens of cars. Kinda wish I still had the shelves...I'd just use 'em for other stuff!

Ah, two days of PDR... loads of fun. At least I don't have to present. I will probably skip out on most of it. Being low on the totem-pole does have some perks. So it is back to ASIC requirements, woo hoo and stuff.

All them Mauser action rifles look the same durn near. Sweet rig though. I need me something in 30ish caliber. I want an M14 but have not got 140k pennies handy.
All I have big is my 44mag winchester that does NOT weight anything and kicks like a mule.

Oooohhh...yeah! M14!. I'm "thinking" about picking up an M1A or DSA SA-58 (FAL) after the first of the year. I'm torn between the two, and then I have to get "management buy off" on it. :-). I'm hoping though! I love .30 cal rifles. :-) ....yes....I hear ya about the pain of the price. Whether I go bottom line M1A, or a decent DSA FAL, it's gonna run over a grand....OUCH!

A buddy of minehere at work has as one of those Ruger semi-autos chambered for the .44 Mag. It "looks" like a 10/22, until you peek down the (nearly) half inch hole in the end of the barell. :-). THAT thing gives your arm a healthy WHACK, but it's fun to shoot!

That Mauser in the photo with Pudge boy kicks less than my Rem M-700 .243. :-).

A whole variety- from toothbrushes, to under-yer-fingernail brushes, to household cleaning brushes. It just ocurred to me that leeeeetle crafty paintbrushes might be called for, too.

I'll go to the odd lots store today to see what's available. A friend whose husband works for a large company that makes sports equipment just dropped of some ballpoint pens and lanyards. I had written her the other night asking her to see if he had any smallish things that could be stuffed into the stockings. These are really nice items, and I'll have plenty of them. She also dropped off some drawings that her 6 yr. old daughter had done for the 'armies'. Patty said she didn't even realize her daughter knew anything about the war, but kids pick stuff up even when we don't realize it. Her little girl wanted to send them to some soldiers, but Patty didn't know to whom to send them. I assured her that I would send her daughter's letters, and I'll take a picture of them with the stockings before they're sent and I'll send a picture to her daughter.

I'm thinking I'll also put a disposable camera and a York Photo mailer in the box so that the soldiers can take some pictures when they receive the stockings and I can have them in my York account to show my girls. I'll ask him to take a picture of some 'armies' with Patty's daughter's letters so I can print out a nice photo for her to show her that they did, in fact, receive her letters. I'll even send one of those pictures to the newspaper!
