Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

And then there's the fact that in litle over a year, things are guaranteed to change around here...and that's all I'm sayin' about that... How encouraging!

Hope you get your laptop fixed soon! I miss you!
Hm...in the geek gadgets department...we're trying to talk the boss into getting us folding keyboards to go with the little Dell Axims we got last year...I hadn't used mine in forever because of a battery problem, but I finally got that resolved this week. I'm thinking...with Pocket Word, it could be a viable NaNo tool. Too bad even if we DID manage to talk people into getting 'em for us...it will probably be too late for this year.
On the other hand, the end of November doesn't have to mean the end of all writing. I still have plenty to do for my Christmas project, and a basic plot for another story beyond that - a sort of fantasy plot this time. I wanna get started on that before toooo long!

Mmm...sounds like my kind of game. I like Tetris and the old Jewels game (sounds similar, kinda) and Memory and all those kinds of puzzle type deals.

Well, the new hard drive has arrived and XP is slapped on. I had some trouble getting it connected to the internet so I'll have to work on that tonight. Of course I have no programs at all...

Good Afternoon All -
Corin - I'd hazard a guess that g'nad putting an arrow in 'The Big Kahuna' would be quite the capper on the USMC birthday.

Pretty unbelievable, what's next Barbie as 'Eowyn'?
