Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, then we're both going to have to play catch-up, I guess.
No wet food? Just put the dry stuff in the water bowl. Problem solved.

She doesn't like mushy dry food.
I did bring her cat gravy, though.

Riiight...
Sheesh, those old folks who have to eat pet food? They're probably eating better than I do. I've always wondered, why don't they just eat tuna and ramen, it's cheaper.

I was hoping others who had ideas might join in too.
I don't know anyone in the Foxhole, but PE hangs out there.

Evenin' folks!
I walk in to see Jen being beaten with a stick, LCS has finally arrived for a visit and we're still trying to figure out how to jumpstart the troop support thread.
*sigh* There's no place like my Hobbit Hole home!

Evenin'
It's been a moderately Corin day.
1) No matter how similar the bottle of hair gel and the bottle of shaving gel look, they do not have similar functions. Hadta get back in the shower and wash the hair again. I am so looking forward to the post-production haircut and shave.
2) Long boring meeting. Basically a room full of engineers with professional "facilitators." I swear, one of the facilitators spent half an hour defining "consensus."
3) On my way back to the office, Jr. called. He had fallen on his skateboard and injured his wrist and foot. Good news is that they're only sprained.
4) Better news was that, since we were at thedoctor's office, I said "whilst I'm here." Doctor gave me another prescription for the cough...in pill form even. Said to let the current antibiotic keep working.
