He suggested that if the public had seen the OBL tape in it's entirety, they'd all vote for Kerry. Of course I pointed out that I wasn't sure if Michael Moore had written that screenplay or if OBL had a writing credit on Farenheit 911. I also countered by suggesting that what was too bad was that the Senator had refused to sign form 180 and release his military records because I suspected that if he had, we would find proof that Kerry had not been given an honorable discharge. The suit laughed and said that in fact Kerry had received only a general discharge because he "had gone to Paris", but that this was old news and everyone already knew this.
I believe that this is their play: IF Kerry should win the election, which I doubt is likely, when the details of this disgrace come out, they'll just try to pass it off as old news... no big deal... everybody knew it...
Duh.
Interesting. Wish you had this guy's name/license number.
To the suit: How could "everyone know about it" if it has been kept under wraps? What a frikken dimbulb.
So, just how pompous was this twit? Did he at any time personally insult you?
My Dem Virginia precinct had extra poll watchers and a Dem legal type out front. Very heavy turnout, phenomenally high turnout.
A general discharge for an officer is the lowest you can get. If I am remembering my research correctly, it is the equivalent of a dishonorable. But I'm just a blueshirt.
