In our neighborhood, it is coming from the house behind us that set up the most elaborate hauted house I have ever seen. At one end of his pool is a dragon that breaths fire - literally 20 feet across the pool.
I opened the back door to listen. Whoooshf it goes when he fires it off followed by screams from the kids.
Only draw back is we will get 500 trick or treaters to the house tonight - that is how many pieces of candy I gave out last year. This year I stop at 300 pieces then it is lights out.
Oh, and each little kiddie is getting a small piece of paper slipped into their trick or treat bag. It looks like this:
That is Kerry walking on the flag in case you had not seen that picture before.
Nobody's done that yet here. I'm pleased to see many parents are out with their kids, walking around.
I had two teenage girls show up dressed as princesses, and their mothers were with them dressed as flappers. It was great!
I moved this year into the Sierra's so we have NO Trick or treaters! I miss them as I love to see the little ones costumes! I bought the candy anyway for me! : -)
LOL! In our city, convicted sexual offenders are ordered to keep porch lights off and shades drawn closed (law enforcement is out checking known sexual offenders' homes). As a result, EVERYONE keeps their porch lights, shades open, and the candy handy. I'm glad we only get a handful of trick-or-treaters. I was all set with candy, and tonight a bunch of them came by asking for canned goods for the needy! We mostly cook from scratch, freezer, or home-canned, so I was ill-prepared. Dang faith-based initiatives!
