I was wondering that we can not say who will win the election, but maybe one can guess its effects..

I would like to know, what is your opinion about the Dollar exchange rate in either case of the election's outcome...

Wat do you expect rise or drop if Bush wins ? Rise or drop if Kerry wins ?

And it could be mentioned here : Putin suggested this week that Russian oil currency should be changed to Euro from the Dollar...

What would be its effect on the US/world economy? How would this decision ( if it is a real altarnative ) being influenced by the result of the election?

I have given this lots of thought.

1) Bush wins uncontested - short term dollar rallies about 6 points. Markets rally like there is no tomorrow

2) Kerry wins - now most people other than Republicans hate it when I say this - but the perception in Wall Street is that Kerry will NOT keep America safe. Markets need stability. Kerry will tank the dollar short and likely medium term.

3) Contested election - worse than a Kerry win. The markets will go crazy. US Dollar is toast.
