The Redskins are losing their last home game before the election 10-0 right now. Urban legend has it that if they win said game, the incumbent party keeps the White House, but if they lose the challenging party wins.
Uh oh.
;-) (in good humor...)
Yeah, but the Red Sox won the world series.
Make it 17-0. Farve is hammering those skinny Skins.
Didn't Favre come out in support for Bush?
The Packers are mostly GWB fans though.
You just want us to root for the Washington Redskins? laughs
Legend has it that if the AL wins the World Series, the GOP wins the election.
So, assuming the Packers win, the two sports would be in conflict this year ...
I think so, but the toughest competitor in sports is not about to throw a game.
Wish there was a way they could both lose.
(From a lifelong Cowboy fan).
Now is 17-0 and who cares? Since Boston broke their curse all sport bets are off - in fact, sets up this coincidence to be broken, seems like a normal thing to happen in light of the Sox...I might be worried if it didn't happen - breaking the pattern and all, you know?
Stop reaching, this is all a bunch of BS. Whoever wins on Tuesday will win because they did more work than the other side and wanted it more. This omen crap is just that, omen crap.
Dang, you beat me to it.
My 20-something son is at the Redskin's game today.
When he left early this morning for the nearly 4 hour drive, I said ....
"You're personally responsible for rooting the Redskins to victory ....President Bush is counting on you!"

There is no such theory about the AL winning means a GOP win
in 1996 the Yankess (AL) won, but Clinton won
in 1992 the Blue Jays (AL) won, but Clinton won
in 1988 the Dodgers (NL) won, but Bush won
1984 Tigers (AL) stacks up
1980 Phillies (NL) meant a Republican win
