Sir or madam,
My recent thread on the Newsweek poll was pulled twice: the first time because it was not at the website (when it was), the second time because Newsweek can't be quoted on FR (I didn't quote Newsweek - it was directly from NewsMax.com)
I'm new to FR. I'm also confused.
Lord knows we could all use it.
As long as I've been kicking around here, I always find something new!!!
There should be a "YOU AIN'T BEEN HERE LONG ENOUGH TO POST KICK OUT ON THE POST PAGE"
Lord knows we could all use it!!
I'm just surprised how bloody hard it is to share some good news (to me, anyway) on a Saturday night/Sunday afternoon.
Is it possible for Moderators to be Dems?
Me as well, I love it here
THat's a pretty good idea. It would be in 1s an 0s so no extra work for the mod gals (who I noticed on the mod page right away)... he he
Dang aussie Are you Crazy or sompin?

Not likely. It's that you posted into "breaking news" something that wasn't. JMHO
Oh, and watch out for double posts, as I did just now with my Sousa article. Accidents happen.
Welcome to Free Republic.
As you can see we have some twisted senses of humor here.
Most of the initial work to get this organization going was done by the Sa'ami (Lapplanders). Intriguingly a remarkably large number of delegates sent by "indigenous peoples" groups around the world belong to branches of the Apostolic Charismatic Church of the First Born (founded by American Sa'ami at York PA some time in the 1600s).
So far the Free Republic Moderator corps has not made any attempt to obtain consultative status at the UN, but seeing that COTFB ("First Born") has such status, I think it's just a matter of time, and then the conspiracy will be complete!
Especially if you hit the wrong button - remember when the location of the buttons changed? It was a doublepost-o-rama.
Fair enough. It arrived in my In Box as "breaking news". It wasn't. It or I, or both, were wrong.
But why wasn't that given as the reason for the thread being shafted.
Hopefully, we can sort this out, then get back to the far more useful passtime of kicking Kerry's butt.
Sometimes it's too busy or maybe the thread is moved to chat or somewhere - without ceremony or fanfare....
LOL
How does one join such an elite church?
I think I'll ask the Mods.
Remember too that you're on a bit of a different schedule than us. Perth is 12 hours off from me on US east coast.
Hve you asked them yet? freep mail em and ask them they don't bite usually
You might do a www.google.com search on this one.
BTW, John Dillinger's father belonged to this church (as did Elliott Ness). One my grandfather's first-cousins married John.
I was as startled as anyone to find they had any sort of UN recognition, but there it is!
Even Al Capone didn't get anywhere near that kind of support.
Turns out he was a hopeless loser in the end anyway.
Another rumor is that his appendage is on exhibit in DC.
