](AP) 29 Oct. from the NY Times Today Presidential candidate John Kerry leveled serious new accusations that President Bush was directly repsonsible for the four hurricanes that struck the Florida coast with such devastation. Kerry said that the President failed to insure any hurricanes didn't form in the south Atlantic, posing a serious threat to the U.S. Kerry went on to say, "This President is derelect and failed the American people by allowing these storms to come ashore. Had I been President, I would have consulted with our allies and the U.N. and we would would have created a tougher, more efficient, Hurricane Proof Plan that would have predicted the exact date, time, and place of their arrival. Together we would have persuaded God not to send the hurricanes in the first place!" Finally, Kerry stated that he had voted against the federal disaster relief before he voted for it.

Why would you even THINK that this merited placement in Breaking News? We have folks following every movement of the campaign, and you put a deceptive humor post into a sidebar? Will you folks friggin' THINK before spamming stupid vanities into the forum at a time like this?

A man or woman who would lend credence to such a notion should be left where you found them - on the doorstep of the asylum..............

A hurricane is a pretty serious force of nature, and does not respond to our feeble efforts to dissuade it from striking a heavily populated coastal region. There is so little now known about the formation and propagation of large storm systems, or even very localized storm cells, that there is no practical way of changing either the course or intensity of the storm. The capability did not exist in 2000, when Bush was first elected to office, and it may not exist in the year 2100, when the world has fallen into total anarchy because of abuses of the electoral system throughout the 21st century, by politicians making promises they cannot keep about things they know little about, but are willing to waste vast amounts of human capital to support their thesis that "It's all Bush's fault."
