Yes, I keep a ping list. I'll add you. I try to ping everyone at least an hour or so before the show starts on the East coast. I'm not always prompt, but I try. :)
I disagree. While it is good to have a second bathroom, I think a bedroom is just about always more valuable. Perhaps things would have been different if the bathroom actually was finished.
yeah, that was pretty bad when they showed a bathroom in pieces. And mud tracked up the stairs. However, I haven't liked Ivana from day 1 and I always thought Stacy got a bad rap.
Had to watch it on tape late last night. Sorry to see Raj go when losers like Ivana are still in the game. Think he should've fired Kevin instead for hiring the poor contractor.
Raj was the best. But even he admitted his downfal was that it wasn't in his nature to attack. I think the next one to go will be Chris and then Ivana. You know Trump is dying to boot someone with the name Ivana.
Me too. With all the space in the house, why weren't two bathrooms installed upstairs? The one that wasn't finished was awfully small. And for God's sake, what is wrong with a three bedroom house?
That was his downfall.
Last night's Apprentice was not IMO particularly interesting....not like the show the week before when one team did such a bang-up job I literally stood up and cheered.
Raj deserved the boot. He was a colorful character, entertaining for awhile, but he'd become predictable, had basically lost his edge. (Of course he'd flirt with anything in skirts. Ho hum, what else is new?) He'd been a pretty good kibbitzer when others were PMs, but he didn't hold his team together, delegated too much responsibility to Kevin. Kevin chose a lousy contractor, but Raj was ultimately responsible. The 3 or 4 bedroom decision? In a higher-end neighborhood, a big master bedroom might have been a major selling point, but did Raj or anyone else on his team bother to check out what was selling nearby? I believe he's an entrepreneurial real estate developer in Aspen, where everything is high end and where his dashing manner and looks and big ego fit right in.
But The Donald grew up in the tough NYC real estate market, learned the ins and outs of the biz from the ground up, developed a sort of ubersense of what works in which market and why. Faced with the task of remodeling a single-family home in a middle-class 'hood, he would have come closer to the meat-and-potatoes improvements the other team made. I think.
The other team did a very good job. Boring but effective choices, and they really lucked out on their contractor. But come to think of it, their contractor seemed more competent from the get-go. You think?
Stacie J did a creditable job, as I believed she would. But she's too abrasive to hold her own long-term against the rest of the vipers. Owning her own restaurant is a good gig for her, may she own more as years go by. Kevin is not long for this game, nor is Ivana. Was the girl who headed the winning team Sandy or Jennifer? They look like twins to me, can't tell them apart. Mumble, mumble. As for Denise Rich, UGH to the max.
And I must say, Adam the Kid did very good work again. No, I'm not his mom, but so far, I don't see anyone outperforming him.
11/11/04 Apprentice PING.
Bye Bye Chris.....what a bunch of losers on this team.....hey, anybody hear of advertising on the radio.....15 or 30 sec ad.....
I love this show, but it is so funny watching thse children try to operate where grown ups run.
This isn't second guessing -- this is being in a very competitive arena for well over 25 years. The #1 thing a good leader does is remove obstacles from his team's ability to excel. He/she sets a vision (even for "small" projects) and establishes the direction. Once you understand the difference between strategic planning and tactical planning you have arrived on the cusp of Leadership.
And besides, Chris was obnoxious and somehow convinced himself that arrogance somehow equals self-confidence.
I think Kelly and Andy will be the final 2 and Andy will be the winner.
The kid?
Jeeze, I hope not!
I think the Harvard degree will go a long way with the Donald. He's young and aggressive and a risk taker and has performed well.
I just don't like kids. I am rooting for Terry or Ivana -- she seems pretty seasoned but I think the 5-times-in-the-board room thng will probably come back to haunt her.
OTOH, the fool who gave up his immunity in the 2nd or 3rd episode would have won if he didn't get an attack of noblesse oblige.
It's sad watching these children pretend to be grown-ups.
I just can't see him hiring a woman in a real power position. Pamela would have been his best bet. I think Trumnp will go for Andy's chutzpah and if he does wind up in the boardroom he will talk his way right out of it.
He is a sexist SOB, ain't he?
If a female ever wins, she will have LOTS of male qualities.
Have you noticed that Carolyn is using makeup and having her hair done this season? You can see how pretty she must have been 20 years ago. She's a sharp cookie, but I suspect that myth of "competing in a man's world" androgenyzed her.
That would have been Pamela and he fired her.
I don't think Carolyn has very much power, just a high ranking advisor.
I'm glad to see that the winning team finally got a nice reward this episode. Trump is usually such a cheapskate.
