Canceled Subscription to the Miami Herald
Hey-- the Housont Comical endorsed Bush [feebly]. I still want to cancel my subscription.
I haven't bought a Buffalo News in 10 years..
I don't have to. THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH got it right.
If you are near any of their large advertisers, drop in and tell them, too.
Haven't bought a newspaper in years. Did talk my father in law out of his subscription to the New York Times quite easily. He went from reading the Slimes and watching CNN to watching Fox and reading the news online via places like Free Republic. We ALL should cancel our subscriptions and only buy the newspaper to house train puppies and other useful things.
When I did, I called the VP of Circulation and told him why. He countered with a free subscription offer, I repeated that I didn't want their 'fish wrap' on my driveway and that I would call the local code enforcement people, and file a written complaint with the Better Business Bureau if they delivered the paper anyway. IT STOPPED!
I canceled mine yesterday after sending my last letter to the editor regarding the 380 tons of explosive October surprise.
I'm in Georgia. THe AJC has always been a liberal rag. I cancelled my subscription years ago.
Georgia is solidly a Bush Red state. We have a Republican Governor, one Republican Senator, one Republican Senator-in-waiting and Zell.
The AJC endorsed JFK. The AJC sure knows it's market! The AJC can't understand why subscription numbers keep falling.
Everytime I send in a letter they send it back to me with excuses why they can't publish it..
Of the 10+ letters to the editors I sent I have had 3 published but 2 were not critical of the Buffalo News and the one that was slightly critical of the paper was heavily edited.
The internet is the only way to make sure your writings are read as written. That is until the government starts to play with the internet for our security of course.
I hope people reading the letters to the editors in various news papers realize that what is printed is not always what was written by the great unwashed readers.

and that is what I do!
The place to know what goes on in Albany..
I update it everyday, am getting ready to do it now..
I canceled my subscription to the Des Moines Register long ago. I can read all I need online.
Bookmarked and thank you!
I (very nicely, but directly) told a Seattle Times telephone solicitor that the paper was too far left for me, and he hung up on me.
