Why? What's with the terrible radio reception for the talk radio station when all the other FM stations come in really clear. It's extremely annoying. Am I the only person noticing this and why isn't it being corrected? Thanks
Sounds like you need satellite radio.
Go to http://www.krla870.com/
And click listen live.
Uh, we don't know where you are, so how would we be able to answer your question. Are you near a city? What talk stations do you want to listen to?
Vanities are fine, IMO, but you really must give us something to work with.
"Sounds like you need satellite radio."
This doesn't answer my question. Why does it come in so poorly compared to all the other FM stations? Simple enough question. - irritated over here
I am in MO, not near any big city like KC or ST Louis
Are you talking about in your home or in your car? It's difficult to get decent AM reception in your home - especially if you live in a concrete block structure.
Use the internet. You can listen to Rush on wjno, and you can listen to most any other talk show host you want pretty much whenever you want.
Sunnyside, I live in rural southern Missouri, and talk radio reception is very spotty here. Good around Rolla, and West Plains, but in between--very bad. Probably due to the mountainous rural scenery I love so much.

Inside is worse than vehicle reception. And I gave up on AM station - dreadful. This is on the FM Conservative Talk Radio station

OK, what station are you listening to? Where is it located? It sounds to me like you are too far from a low-powered FM talk station to get good reception. That's how radio works. Try an AM talk station.
How to strengthen am radio reception. http://www.ehow.com/how_114031_strengthen-am-radio.html
I'm assuming that you reside in Missouri, and that your talk radio station is on the FM band.
What are the call letters of the talk radio FM station you are trying to listen to? Some FM stations have more output power than others, and others increase their broadcast power during the day and cut it back at night. Your problem could be due to any number of factors, and the only way we are going to be able to help you figure it out is to find out which FM station you are trying to listen to.
C. Crane Company has radios designed for better reception in areas of poor reception, plus AM antennas.
I'm listening to Laura right now!
What are the call letters of the talk radio FM station you are trying to listen to?

Well, it looks like we'll have to pry every detail out of this poster. I don't mind helping, but it sure would be nice if the poster disclosed some of the information we need to help.

Sunnyside,
Those are not the call letters. We just can't help you unless you help us. Where is this station located? It sounds to me like you're trying to listen to a station that is too far away from you for good reception, but we can't really say that unless you help us.
Move.
On an ironic note - a talk radio show in MD recently started broadcasting and their signal is interfering with EVERYTHING electronic in my house - telephone, computer speakers etc. I can't even hold a conversation on my own phone line - its like having a radio on in the earpiece.
Multiple calls to FCC. No help. Multiple calls to station. Stonewalling. I'm fed up and see only 2 options: go down to Annapolis and get my congress-criter involved, or handle this the Marine Corp way.
Station is WMET at 301-921-0093. Any ideas?
Absent additional information, just how did you expect your question to be answered? Should we all make an appointment to come over and look at your radio?
