Sounds like a great time.

I think Bush will carry Arkansas, despite all the RATs. I don't discount the voter fraud though. I hope FReepers in Pulaski and Jefferson Counties will be out in force working the polls. How did the FReeping go today, Arkansas FReepers?

I'm in the Greenbrier area. I knew you were in Ghent when you said the most liberal part of Norfolk. My sister lives there.

I heard David Ashe on Tony Macrini's show the other day and I hate to say it, but I think he has a good chance of winning. He knows how to talk the talk. He's a former Marine and he served in Iraq so I think that's going to help him, too. What do you think?

The polls are currently for Bush in Ohio, but with all the Rat voter fraud I`m not going to relax until GW wins. We ALL need to do our part, I`m signed up to work the polls on election day, but not everyone can take the day off so I would urge every one to volunteer to help with the GOP walk the vote effort.

My GOP headquarters in Summit County says they will keep up the efforts as long as they can. Contact your local GOP headquarters and ask for the walk the vote program. They need volunteers to walk local neighborhoods to contact people at the grassroots levels to try and persuade undecideds.

We, my daughter and myself, visited dozens of homes today and passed out literature to perspective voters as well as GOP faithful. The goal is to encourage independents to vote GOP and to urge GOP supporters to try and encourage those undecideds they know to vote for GW. I feel great in spite of my nervousness, I did something today to help GW, and I`ll continue to help every weekend till election day. You can help out too, please call and volunteer!

I live in a very liberal suburb in Wisconsin. In my area there were only 20 Bush signs in 2000. This year there are over 120. Kerry keeps coming to Wisconsin and mispronouncing names and locations. He looks like an idiot. It is a very close race with Bush ahead in the polls by 2 or 3%, however, voter fraud is a big issue here.

We voted yesterday in the VOTE EARLY until Oct 30th campaign...I was called by Republicans. I believe everyone WHO CAN, SHOULD VOTE EARLY. The reason is that the terrorists may want to screw with the election, and cause havoc, BUT if your vote is already cast, you are home free.

ANOTHER THOUGHT: I was not asked to provide picture ID, it bothered me. I was only asked my birthdate, address and name....IF SOMEONE CASTS YOUR VOTE EARLY YOU CANNOT VOTE....all they need is the above info in NC...be careful.
GET YOUR VOTE DONE NOW IF POSSIBLE AT YOUR COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS...noone can tamper with your vote because it is in at Election Board.

I also heard him on Macrini and I was somewhat impressed. If it weren't for the abortion issue, I mostly agreed with what he said. Of course he was just saying what he had to in order to win in Va. Beach.

Ghent isn't as bad as it used to be. The starving artists can't afford it anymore. There still is an artsy fartsy culture, but it is on the decline. I also don't see as many gay people as I used to, or they are not as flamboyant anyway. I have a Bush sign out and nobody has said anything (apartment dwelling). The ODU crowd is actually getting somewhat conservative. Most of the Kerry signs come from the Jewish section (Ghent Square), which for the life of me I can't understand. How can a Jewish person support the anti-Israel, pro-UN party. I just don't get it. Kerry signs do outnumber Bush signs, but the fact that there are a good number of Bush signs makes me optimistic. BTW, believe it or not, Colley Cantina is a very republican stronghold. A friend of mine is a cook and you'll hear AM 790 in there all day. The owner also broght in W. Katsup and dropped Heinz for the time being. The most positive thing I see though is the strong Bush support from the ODU students. Also, as you expect, the EVMS sudents are pro-Bush. Imagine spending all that money to go to med school and then having John Edwards elected VP. Anyway, keep up the good work. At least we know Randy Forbes is safe for as long as he wants his seat. Same with JoAnn Davis (my congresswoman as I am still registered to vote in my precinct in Newport News).

I love Ghent. I lived on Graydon when I was young and single. It's a classy, well-kept oasis within downtown Norfolk. I'm glad to hear that it's becoming a little more conservative. I'd like to live there again someday, but life in Chesapeake is better for kids.

Like I said earlier, I think David Ashe's chances are pretty good. I also believe that he's playing everyone. He sounds good now, but just wait until he gets elected. And he supports Kerry. Thankfully, I live in Chesapeake and as you said, Randy Forbes could represent this district for the rest of his life if he wanted to.

The democrat party is actually three parties in one...they need to split up and get more honest.
Communist/Socialists
Special Interests United
Moderate Democrats

Bush will win in Indiana (no surprise). I'm just hoping he has coattails for the race for Governor and (highly doubtful) for the Republican who is opposing Senator Evan Bayh.
