O'Reilly Litigation unfortunately, probably accurate after reading complaint.

While I don't agree with O'Reilly on 1/2 of his talking points, I do believe he is good for "Fair & Balanced" News but if true, everyone has to "Pay the Piper", at some point in their life. Let's pray this isn't true, but the complaint is pretty convincing.

I don't care for O'Jackass, and I don't listen to his show, but this chick is WAY out of line, as are ALL SEXUAL HARASSMENT LAWSUITS that don't involve physical contact. SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMPLAINTS ARE B.S. AND THIS CHICK IS A MONEY-GRUBBING OPPORTUNIST.

Please explain. Because if I'd sued every guy who'd ever "sexually harrassed" me I'd be as rich as this chick wants to be.

"Does anyone really care what happens to Oreally?"
My opinion?
No.
Same holds true for the rest of the "on air" personalities.
Actually, my not caring extends to performers, athletes, politicians, you name it.
With the exception of my family and friends, I don't care.
None of those people know me, and I don't know them.
Would any of the "celebrities" care if you were in a jam?
Nope.

Vanity postings are OK. But most people clearly label them as vanity postings, so that the rest of us know it before we go to read it.

No offense but I hope you are never on a jury. I just read the complaint which was odd to me. If it is true, then Bill O'reilly is an idiot. If it is true, he blatantly harrassed her in front of a number of other people. I find this hard to believe.
Secondly, I find the complaint itself hard to believe. It goes well beyond stating the complaints into trying to prove the complaint with anectdotal evidence. This complaint is written to be salacious and to create press lots of press. My guess is that this complaint was delivered to the Defendant prior to it's filing for settlement negotiation. The Plaintiff's attorney knew that such a detailed complaint would be embarrassing, widely read because of the purient content, and would tend to poison the public perception of the Defendant.
My guess is that this whole thing is a shake down. If it isn't then O'reilly and Fox would have been well advised to have paid the woman $20 million to go away. As is the plaintiffs are trying to make it painful to fight, not trying to win the suit.
Please don't believe everything you read just because it seems detailed. Attorneys are always detailed.

Is this your opinion, or is it a fact. It is odd to have someone bellyaching about the posting of opinions and then posting her opinion in that post.
I don't come to FR to hear people complain about other posts. See how crossed that statement is?

I think making the public cringe is exactly what the complaint was meant to do. If people are gullible and believe the bare allegations and then start turning off Bill O'reilly then it would be a good excuse to settle.
Believe nothing until it is proven and then only believe half of that.

You haven't been here long, have you, newbie? And you've missed the posts recently and not-so-recently where Freepers have been asked to quit posting so many vanities.

I worked for a guy who grabbed my *ss or my breasts every time I walked past him. Cornered me in my office, which was upstairs and away from anyone else, and literally chased me around the desk.
I slapped him and kicked him and he told me "what you need is a good horse-f*ckin."
EEOC wouldn't touch it when I filed a complaint since it was he said/she said and he owned the place.

I wouldn't be surprised if he went "on sabbatical" until this all gets sorted out.
I'd welcome Tony Snow back. I don't care for O'Rielly and truly can't stand Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday.

I am reserving judgement for the time being about either parties motive. As you ponder, please read this excerpt from their complaint.
