Vanity

Posted on 10/12/2004 7:00:33 PM PDT by Patriot814

A way to get rid of Oreilly is to freep fox news by e-mailing that we want O'reilly out and to replace him with someone (my suggestion is Tony Snow, e-mail him at viewerservices@FOXNews.com

The best way to get rid of him is to stop watching.

Unfortunately O'Blowhard gets the highest ratings on FNC, so he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

i think he is doing himself in. he wants to be in the same boat with rather et al telling us what to believe. he's a loser on the way out - let's come back in a year and see

Agreed. Tony is first choice, John Gibson second pick. O'Reilly has peaked, his ego has hit the ceiling. Only way to go now is down.

Yeah, if they get email from Freepers they'll go ahead and ditch the top rated cable news show. Yeah, that's the ticket.

O'Reilly has been such a letdown, and I only watch when I really care to see a certain guest. His dismissive attitude toward the Swiftboat Veterans was deplorable. Last week, he said he felt bad for Dan Rather.

I just started watching his show over the last year. Was he better before?

Sounded tonight like he was protesting about his "fairness" too much. Talking points sounded a bit defensive. Already e-mailed him disagreeing with his view about Sinclair airing Stolen Honor

The only way to get rid of Bill O'Reilly is for his ratings to tank. Fox is a business and they will air any program that they can that will draw the highest ratings.

I'm not in favor of getting rid of him. I'm in favor of slapping his face with a big slimy fish and telling him where he's gone wrong. Right now, he's pandering to the Democrat base who probably don't watch his show anyway.

It will affect ratings, and Fox management will notice. And they will tell him that something is wrong.

Whether he's too egotistical to figure out what is a separate question.

I've stopped watching for at least the last year.

How much longer, O Lord, how much longer?

...he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

When letters called him on sucking up to CBS last month, he claimed to have a five-year contract.

Wasn't there a rumor that BO would try to replace Rather if the axe finally falls at seeBS?

I'm thinking repeats of Gilmore Girls are looking better and better.

Fox will never get rid of the leprechaun as long as he's # 1. I suspect his ratings will go down once people (eventually) see what a phony egotistical jerk he is.
