I'll probably be zotted for questioning the wisdom of the moderators, but I'd really like to know.

A handful of disrespectful FReepers were taking it on themselves to be total jerks.

There are presently at least two active CR threads.

My sense is that they don't want to give Democrat Underground any ammo.
Christopher Reeve should rest in peace and so should those threads.

Other FReepers have already provided the reasons. We don't need to show that type of disrespect by a few posters to the world
To: birbear; All
Thanks to all.
It seemed like it was a very small minority (only 4 or 5 posts out of 400) that were "hateful".
Comparitively speaking there seem to be at least 400 "hateful" messages directed about Hillary Clinton's size/dress/etc on any given day, but those never seem to get pulled.
Not that I'm any fan of Hillary Clinton, mind you. It just seems there's a bit of a double standard at times when it comes to what gets pulled and what doesn't.
For the record... none of my messages on the CR threads got pulled. I'm just a curious Freeper.

I went to college in the late sixties and early seventies with Christopher Reeve. He was a very bright and talented son of very nice parents who were college professors (not at Cornell). He was tall and thin in college, about 6'2" and 170 lbs, with natural sandy blonde hair which he styled a lot like Steve Winwood of Traffic. He was a babe magnet, and led a very sober life during college.
May he rest in peace. I shudder to think of having to spend so much time in a paralyzed state.

They locked this thread too. I just tried to post a reply and could not do so.

If a thread is merely locked a message as to why it was locked will appear in the new top bar. If it is pulled it is gone.

Because some freepers can not behave themselves and totally embarrassed themselves, and the site, with their behavior towards Mr. Reeves and other freepers.

All I was really trying to accomplish with this thread is for the moderators to give a "reason" for why a thread is pulled or locked, rather than just the comment, "pulled" or "locked".
I mean, it looks like there's a space there for a reason, and as somebody who was active on one of the threads, it would have been nice to see the reason.
And it really wouldn't have mattered what the reason was. The moderator could have simply said, "Thread does not comply with FR standards." And I would have been as happy as clam sh*t, and gone on about my business.
That's all. I didn't mean to start another CR thread.

I tried to create a post speculating about Kerry's statement that Reeve called him, and wondering if this could be true when Reeve was so sick.
But the admin guys pulled my thread.
Anyone have any ideas here?
