I have never used OE, but have heard that it opens your e-mail in order to provide a preview. This provides an opening for virii, trojans, etc. Thunderbird seems to be safer in that regard.

If you are using Mozilla then it already has a mail client bundled with it. You could use that instead of installing Eudora or some other.
