Isn't Johnny Isakson a shoo-in?

Wouldnt the more productive thing to do be to tell Isakson "I am a pro-life Republican, I demand you represent me" and help him win? He's a shoo-in anyway ... It seems to me the solution was to get the other candidate (Herman Cain) in there in the primary. I'm sorry we didnt nominate him.

Anyway, Isakson's pro-life record is not as bad as is implied, in fact it is pretty good:

http://isakson.net/isakson_contents/issues/life.shtml

"I have a deep respect for life, and a voting record that reflects that respect. I am personally opposed to abortion except in cases of rape, incest, and to protect the life of the mother. I strongly support President Bush's view that we need to create a culture of life in America. A key step in this process is appointing federal judges who understand that laws are made in the Congress, not in the courthouse."
- Johnny Isakson

* Stood behind the successful effort to make the maximum $10,000 adoption tax credit permanent, so that as many adoptive parents as possible can afford to provide safe homes for children (HR 4800, 107th Congress).
* Strongly supported a complete ban on the abhorrent efforts by some misguided scientists to clone human beings (HR 534).
* Co-sponsored the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which would make it a crime to harm a baby at any stage of pregnancy, regardless of whether it has been born or not (HR 1997, 108th Congress; HR 503, 107th Congress).

>> I will not vote for a candidate who refuses to support the innocent unborn. <<

Except Zell Miller was still pro-abortion when he ran in the 2000 special election to fill pro-life Paul Coverdell's senate seat, right? Then it was OKAY to be pro-abortion, cuz Zell's a conservative Democrat, right?

Interesting enough, "RINO" Johnny Isakson votes nearly 20 points to the RIGHT of "conservative" Zell Miller, according to the American Conservative Union.
