Assignment: Show how Iraq is better off today than it was before the war.
Please help with specific articles and links.
Thank you!
How is Iraq better?
IRAQIS FEEL FREE.
1) Go to Iraq the Model
http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com/
Go to an article entitled "1 square kilometer".
The most eloquent testimoney that Iraq is better off now than under Saddam. Of course he has many eloquent articles.
2) See also my blog:
http://freedomstruth.blogspot.com
I have links to MANY sources on the improvements in Iraq.
One of the links is the Chrenkoff's "Good News from Iraq".
Lots of data points on the improvements in:
- the economy (booming)
- free speech (talk radio, papers, TV/satellite)
- freedom of travel (eg Shiites can visit shrines)
- political freedom (the parties are forming, the govt is representative, etc)
- coming elections
- infrastructure (hospitals repaired, electricity generation 20% higher than before the war, school being rebuilt) etc
Alot was damaged in the war, looting; but much more was damaged from 30 years under Saddam, including the Iraqi psyche. We are repairing that, bit by bit.
Last point. One of my article is "SADDAMS MASS GRAVES" about Saddam's genocide. Is a country better off with a genocidal murderer in jail.
Taimour's father was a farmer in the remote village of Kulejo; about 20 minutes drive away from the town of Kallar, northeast of Baghdad. One day Iraqi troops took everyone in the village to a military garrison near the Iran border and ten days later to Topzawa jail in Kirkuk.
After a month, vans took the villagers to the desert near the border with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia where they were pushed into graves dug by bulldozers and shot. Taimour was shot several times but managed to crawl away and with the help of Bedouins and others made his way back to Kurdistan.
Because he was perhaps the only victim to witness the Anfal mass killings and survive, rumor reached him that Saddam Hussein had put out a contract on his life. He fled to the United States in 1996 with the help of human rights advocates.
Her archives should provide plenty of info and you will be doing your own research. Your FReeper friends merely provided references.

An essay on iraq
The subject of iraq has been covered intensively by the world press over the past decade. There are many factors which influenced the development of iraq. While it is becoming a hot topic for debate, several of todays most brilliant minds seem incapable of recognising its increasing relevance to understanding future generations. It is estimated that that iraq is thought about eight times every day by the aristocracy, who are yet to grow accustomed to its disombobulating nature. Relax, sit back and gasp as I display the rich tapestries of iraq.
Social Factors
Society is our own everyday reality. The immortal and indispensable phrase honesty is the best policy [1], contrary to my learned colleague Sir George Allens recent publication Into the eye of , could not have been referring to eighteenth century beliefs regarding society. Spanning divides such as class, race and uglyness, iraq bravely illustrates what we are most afraid of, what we all know deep down in our hearts.
Status, Security, Fame - iraq, all revolve around this 'golden fleece'. To put it simply, people like iraq.
Economic Factors
Increasingly economic growth and innovation are being attributed to iraq. We will begin by looking at the Fish-Out-Of-Water model, as is standard in this case.

Political Factors
Politics has in some areas been seen to embrace an increasing ananiathesis of intergovernmentalism leading to neo-functionalism. Comparing international relations since the end of the century can be like observing 0
We cannot talk of iraq and politics without remembering the words of award winning journalist Elijah Bootlegger 'Political idealists must ideally deal, for I daily list my ideals politically.' [2] I couldn't have put it better my self. When it comes to iraq this is clearly true. It is a well known 'secret' that what prompted many politicians to first strive for power was iraq.
Since the Renaissance iraq has become more and more prevalent. May it continue.
Conclusion
To conclude iraq is both a need and a want. It collaborates successfully, invades where necessary and it brings the best out in people.
Here with the final word is Hollywood's Clint Poppins: 'I love iraq? Yes! Hurray for iraq!' [3]

It's about the restoration of the railroad system in Iraq.
Avoid CBS and other MSMs as source material...
