Kerry tells the audience, that they'll never be as rich as him, so don't worry about him raising taxes. That seemed like a total slap to everyone in the room, and everyone in America.
Because they are undecideds?
I want to see someone pick up on this.
I thought it was the most telling point of the "debate".
I remember my dad used to say it was only the faux rich who looked it. The people who are really rich stay rich by living modestly.
Your Malkin link doesn't work? I've look for it on TownHall, but can't find it? I'd love to read her take.
WOW! What an elitist!
(Great show today- David Horowitz is a national treasure.)
Swing Voters Swinging
We now know of at least one undecided voter who decided to vote for Bush after the debate.
Robin Dahle, who asked President Bush the first question yesterday, was just on NPR’s Weekend America. Dahle is on about 3:40 into the audio (courtesy of KUOW.)
Dahle said that, before the debate, there was a 40 percent chance he’d vote for President Bush. He’s now 80-90 percent sure of his vote, although not 100 percent.
The reason he gave was that Bush was more “personable.” He also said that Kerry blundered when he said that only 3 people in the room made $200,000/year. He said that Kerry had made that assumption based on the appearance of the audience and the location of the debate. Dahle found that condescending.
BUMP!
Hopefully, SNL will have Kerry insulting the audience in tonite's skit. But they may just go after the Cheney/Edwards debate, because I'm sure they could have alot of fun with it.
Thanks Bootless. Great calls. Great guest!
There already WAS a very ugly, wealthy 'ho in that room at the time - unfortunately she probably won't be a double-widow by election day...
Sure thing!
I hope this "silver foot" of Kerry's gets some legs (so to speak!).
(Go Raiders!) I'll be listening tomorrow.
I'll be watching. I wish their latest "W" looked a little more like him. It's kind of disconcerting.
SNL nailed kerry on this. other than that, the skit was not that funny. Last week's was much better.
