I have noticed a big change in O`Reilly. The "new" Bill is now not taking sides or giving an honest opinion.Tonight he would not even say who he thought won the debate last night. He said the people will decide. All well and good but he was quick to say that Bush lost his debate last week..He had on Tammy Bruce and Juan Williams tonight. However when Ms. Bruce said she thought Edwards seemed outmatched by Chaney, O`Reilly ran to the defense of Edwards. Last night he said he felt sorry for Rather and even Martha Stewart.I remember for months before the pod took over O`Reilly`s body he was screaming Stewart was guilty and that she must pay the price for her misdeed. What is up with the change in him since the summer? I can barely watch him anymore.
He is a populist period
I realized I hadn't done that since I last watched Dan Rather, about 10 years ago.
I don't watch either Rather or O'Reilly anymore.
O'Reilly is full of himself and not worth watching. He has gone over to the dark side BIGTIME!
I must encourage you to watch something else. Let Howard Beale fade away on someone else's time. You never get that hour back, you know.
It's not just O'Reilly, but the entire network seems to be leaning left these days. I can't stand to watch unless Hanity is talking.
hey i like orielly give the guy a break. he's funny.
When you are right, you are right. I agree. Saw it coming about a year ago and then I stopped watching him.
Something is up recently with Bill. I used to watch him all the time, and had even started tuning into his radio more often than Bush. I thought he used to give more of a realistic unbiased view. However, lately, he is all over the place. Not that he just seems to have gotten a liberal slant, but just not making sense. Seems inconsitent. I wonder if he may be trying to Rather or some other big job. Something has changed. Maybe he is sandbagging just to Kerry on and then hit him big time.
Well we'll see how he acts soon enough when he interviews Kerry because he announced today that Kerry agreed to do the Factor.
I am sick of O'Reilly too, his head is getting so big I can barely see it on my tv screen anymore!
You nailed it. He wants to get Jean on his TV show.
He seemed so happy about Kerrys coming appearance on his show. Wait till the FREEPERS flood his web with Emails, all DEMANDING he MAKE KERRY TELL WHY HE WON'T SIGN A 180 FORM. And have a 180 form on his desk and hand it to Hanoi Kerry.
Yea, I have noticed a drift toward trying to triangulate between left and right. He's trying to show he's above it all, but he looks arrogant. He's fallen into a trap that believes your more credible if you pick and choose your positions: 50% from the left and 50% from the right. This is why I never believed he was a genuine conservative. It's very easy to start taking on the psychology of your opponent after you've been hammered a while for an occasional conservative view. I noticed, after Carl's boo boo at Fox news, that same kind of thing happening to them.
Maybe he's bucking for the Pope's job. On second thought Rather is on every night and doesn't have to answer to a higher power.
O'Reilly is John Kerry. He flip flops according to public polls, he tries to please everyone by being France, and he totally lacks a moral fiber of his own being.
I can't watch Bill O anymore. He used to be my favorite. I turn off after Brit and then watch Hannity if I have time. Last, I watch some of Scarborough.
O'Reilly says he is a traditionalist. He hates to be pinned down as a lib or conservative and every night he has a few emails from people who accuse him of being one way or another. Out of 50,000 emails you will get a few and he posts them online. He will lose what he has if he ties to go to far to the left for the sake of trying to be open. He is funny in taht his opinion is told as if it is a fact. He probably is a dick but he is a bulldog on a lot of things taht go untouched and we need that. For instance the NJ principal that let go of the teacher who wanted to have W up on the wall instead of President Kerry. Yeah it was f'd up but he brought attention to it.
