Patience. There won't be more people willing to pull the lever for Kerry on November 2, than there will for Bush.

RCP is a good site, but they use poll averages. The bad polls from a few days ago are just having their effect. The good poll news the last couple days will show up in the next few days.

If it is so disconcerting then why post it?

It seems like most of the persons on this sight have never observed a presidential election...polls ALWAYS tighten before an election!!

Patience is a real virtue during the last twenty six days of a national election. Can you imagine what Rove is going through? Wonder if he visits RCP every day.
I'll bet not.
I still stay with my prediction that Bush will carry a state that none of the "experts" ever imagined he would Take your pick, but I pick NJ.

How can Bush's internals look so good yet he barely has a lead outside the MoE?

Bush will carry OH, FL, NJ, PA, IA and WS.

Doesn't seem that bad to me. Michigan appears closer than it has in a while and Kerry leads in only a couple of states and those are well within the margin of error.

Relax - Check out electoral-vote.com which is run by a democrat. He is trying to be as non-partisan as possible and i think he is doing a good job. He has BUSH at 350 EV and sKerry with 178. The polls don't change that fast after a VP debate.

Hey, ostriches are still alive and going strong. Actually a constant dose of reality is good but I question if polls are really a dose of reality.

From the looks of its other posts, it's a professional worrier.

Seriously!
And let the hand-wringing begin. Sheesh people, everything will be ok.

If we take OH, FL and either NV or NH, we will win. A blow out would be nice, but I will take a 274 - 264 win and be happy about it.

The race is not over, but our path to victory still looks better than the RATs.

What you see reflects a slight gain in just a few states that Bush had very slight leads in before. Plenty of time for the pendulum to swing back to Bush.

I live in central NJ and notice something odd today. on my way to the supermarket I started looking for campaign signs in front of homes. not very many at all, but the ones I did see (about a dozen) were all Bush/Cheney. not one for Kerry.

my take? of course there are plenty of dems out there but not one seems to want to advertise their support of Kerry.

don't know what it means, just interesting.
