Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good night, chica.
I'm gonna take another look around for my TV remote and then hit the hay myself.
Sleep well, Hobbit Hole!

Yah... I'm gonna be bailing out here pretty quick myself. Gonna hit the hay early and see if I can beat this bug that is trying to mess with me.
Niters all!

No luck finding the remote. *sigh*
I'm off to bed. Be sure to take some Nyquil for that bug, Ramius. Works like a charm!
Nighty night everyone!

Matthew learned that in 3rd grade. This year (fifth grade) he got into the nitty gritty more...but entry words and guide words...he's known that for a couple of years.
I left abruptly today...Celeste called and says "I got free tickets to the fair!" So off we all went. It was a lot of fun. Talked to the Army National Guard, but not the black hawk unit.
Steve came home just as my bread was finished baking in the machine (yes, I left it baking while I left for the fair!) He said he walked in and said to himself "Mmmmm! Fresh baked bread!"
He's doing good. Limping around the house, no crutches. I told him "Quit walking like that...you'll throw your back out!" So he quit! He was babying it. It's still pretty swollen, and purple from the bottom under his arch, all the way up the outside and around. Looks really awful.

Roger that... Most times I've found that I can handle more Wild Turkey in my system than any virus can. Alcohol is a disinfectant, right?
:-)
Be well.

Oh, so there
is a discussion. I was wondering about that; I have an M1903A3...in .30-06...If it's that kind of discussion, never mind...it's not that important.

I got a chance to use my refreshed knowledge of "badger badger badger" tonight... there was an anime scene that just called for one of the geeks to yell "Snake! It's a snake!" so several of the rest of us started a badger chant...
Hullo all. Back and almost ready for an early night. Tomorrow, I'm going to watch the debates with my fellow secret conservative.

I need to update my tagline, but I'm too tired to think of one...
Oh, I just found out that Howard Tayler will be in Austin this weekend, at Linucon. I wish we could go...

Man... wish I could! That guy's awfully funny, even if his art skillz are something less than leet. Still, it's the only webcomic I read everyday, these days (because MegaTokyo is a triweekly, not a daily)
Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to go to the SF con next weekend; too many projects due at the same time...

Yeah... Rose's schedule changed, now she's working Tuesday through Saturday. We could try to go on Sunday, but the last day of a con always feels sad and/or desperate, and besides that it's football day.

Maybe you should pop some smoke first. G'nad, what let everybody know what color smoke you want to see.
