Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Those trees and leaves are so beautiful. I've truly never actually seen anything like them.
I'd love a foliage moot. We've definitely gotta put it down for one of these upcomnig years after Shoot-Moot!

Princess Bride is starting on Bravo right now!
That day, she was amazed to discover that when he was saying "As you wish", what he meant was, "I love you." And even more amazing was the day she realized she truly loved him back.
Death cannot stop true love, all it can do is delay it a while.

Mawwaige...
Honestly, whoever's first in my family to get married, we're going to have to bribe the preacher to start out with "mawwaige".

No problem!
Remember when I called you and Hair to say that The Breakfast Club was starting and you gently reminded me of the time difference.
I gave you a 3 hour heads up. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around. :-(

You know... sometimes there's a person that just restores your faith in humanity. One of my classmates in my particularly hard class has about 40 years more experience than the rest of us, and it shows. He managed to finish the assignment by himself before our groups had even started (of course, he's retired, so...) But instead of crowing about it, he took the time to post as much information and helpful links as he could, without violating class guidelines.
Honestly, this guy just saved me about six hours of head-banging and cursing. I'm gonna have to bake him some cookies or something.

Obligatory Calvinist addendum to the above: I don't really have faith in the inate goodness of humanity, since we don't got none ;-)

Heh, and that's an idea too!
Really, there are a few people in that class that make me want to scream - although The Obnoxious Kid somehow got less obnoxious yesterday during our brief three-way argument over "God Emperor of Dune" - but this guy is just classy.
