Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Then I would view the shower along the lines of Ronald Reagan's favortie story.
"There's gotta be a pony in there somewhere..."
The upside of not having access to the computer for an hour or two (seemed longer) is that I had a chance to do some significant outlining of my book. No, it's not a novel, so it isn't a Nanowrimo prospect.
But I basically got the thoughts down for the introduction and did an outline for the chapters...
Whatsit about?
You know...I can type a lot faster than I can write, but writing on the computer is hard just because there are so many distractions. Sometimes I kinda wish I had an old laptop I could put JUST Word and a few other things on to use for writing, so I wouldn't be able to surf / play card games / mess around in e-mail when I'm supposed to be writing.
That's part of why I think I'm sometimes more productive when writing in a notebook. It's slower, but there aren't any other applications...
Don't wanna say too much. But it's sorta an inspirational book based on "Corin's World."
Ah...cool.
I really hope none of us make appearances in your novel, Corin...
I HOPE I ain't one o' Corin's problems. ;-)
Ooookay. Lunchtime over and it's a downhill slide from here on out. Time for more tea...
And maybe a little writing. I'm hopin' I can break 20,000 tonight, but that may be a bit overly optimistic. It'd be another 2200 words and I won't be around much. Plus I'm planning to discuss some aspects with my brother as we're drivin' down to White River, and he may [rightly] suggest further surgery. *snif*
Well, good luck...
I have a midterm at 1. Ungh. Fun. But the class is only 50 minutes, how bad could the test be. Right?
Is that a TPL request?
I suppose it is!
Tonight should be r&r night... hanging with my galpals, finishing Escaflowne, starting our Object-Oriented Programming assignment...
I'll be praying!
You're already done with Escaflowne? That went quickly!
I get a moot! *happy dance* AND a jam, hopefully. Depends on how late we get back, and how tired we are.
Not unless yer a manipulative old woman who don't appreciate the sacrifices bein' made on yer behalf. If y'all see a headline from Virginia that says "Angry Dwarf Axes Old Woman" ...it's nobody you know...
Nana is more needy now than ever. For one thing, she got no exercise this time in rehab, so she gets worn out with the littlest effort. For example:
Earlier this week after a therapy visit, Nana went to the bathroom. Until the remodel is finished she's using the half bath downstairs. Now, remember this is in plain view of the front door. She went in and did not close the door. It's one thing if you're by yourself, but Jr. was there. She said she was too tired from therapy. Wife said, "then tell them not to give you so much therapy."
I woulda said "if you cain't close the door, you can't pee in my house."
I admit to feeling guilty, but last night when the wife said "she's not doing well, I don't know if we can let her continue to live here," I got a little excited...
I'm trying to be ashamed of myself.
I hear ya....
I'm still tryin' to work out how you're going to turn all this into an *inspirational* book...
Still praying for you, as always. It's about all I can do, but you've got it.
They cancelled the mailings! Apparently they had so many volunteers show up and work so diligently, that they got ahead of the printers! We might go to the headquarters tonight but I'm disappointed...this was something even Joshua could do easily!
But I'm glad we've got so many volunteers.
Honestly, Corin, you've had the patience of Job. I wouldn't push to be rid of her but if the Mrs. starts thinking it's a good idea, well...
Poor Jr, was he mad?
Have fun! Say hi to Clare for me and remind her that she's supposed to check in here now and then. You might want to tell her how much you love FMA since she's the one who introduced me to it.
That and more than a little embarrassed. You know I complain about him a lot, but he has had to endure a lot especially with Nana moving in. And I'm a little tired of telling him he just has to suck it up because it's family. The family thing works both ways.
Thanks for the prayers. They do help. And we'll get thru this. I just needed to blow off some steam afore I kick the dog's hip out of joint and we go thru this all over again...(hip or no hip, he's peein' outside).
Quite simply because in spite of all the crap we live thru 1) it's temporary and 2) God always sustains us even though we don't see it at the time.
I'll say "hi" for ya!
Hm...what's something a little girl of about nine might feasibly carry around in her pocket, or at least have in her pocket. Not something terribly important to her, 'cause she dropped it without noticing.
