Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yay, almost done making notes for the second of the three sections I'm reviewing for the test... it's open-notes, so my galpals and I are collaborating on the notes. I chose to do propositional logic (which I adore, always have loved that "P implies not-Q" stuff), constraint satisfaction problems, and search trees.

Eeeeekkk!! I have to pick out carpet for the sunroom!

Oh, cat, yay...
Let's see. Maybe they formed a union and demand shorter working days, pensions, and benefits?

Hehehe...well someone had to kill the mouse that crawled away post mortem.
To: Overtaxed
Hmmm... drawing on real life experiences, are we?
Your story needs a hopeless nerd who pawns his video games to buy new ones. Someone to be prey for The Cat, maybe, since nerds don't go near things like toasters.

Guess there's always room for one more nerd. I've already got a jerk for the Cat to attack. I'm siccing the toaster on her.

On the jerk. I can't decide whether the cat and the toaster are allies or competitors.
To: Overtaxed
Perhaps both. In the grand scheme they're allies, but they compete in "best ways to take out humans" contests.

Well the cat doesn't want to take out the humans...who would open the cat food cans? The cat just wants to rule her own roost...ruling the world takes too much effort. :)
To: HairOfTheDog; ecurbh
ecurbh was too smart, most likely...they didn't want him on there, showing them up.
