The Hobbit Hole XVI - Still round the corner there may wait...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner there may wait...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'll pray. Sounds like she's going good!

A while back, they figured out how to make an artificial surfactant that they could give preemies and it would keep their lungs inflated. The surfactant isn't naturally produced until the final weeks before birth and with preemies, it would be absent and the lungs would collapse and stick to it's self. Once they got the artificial surfactant, preemies had a real fighting chance.

How much does she weigh?

Absolutely correct in posting them, just very surprised that he would do it.

Will be praying, Suzi! I think we've gotten pretty good at taking care of preemies, but it's still a long, hard battle.

Dinner is pork cooked in white wine with rosemary; brocoli; and a bit of potato.

50 was so evil. Remember ksen and me whining about it?

Well, it's still turkey season in MO. A NR license isn't too costly and you can use my shotgun, unless you want to borrow a bow instead.

Mmmm...pork. That sounds good!

Yeah...I'm glad I don't have to wait a week! Thinking of looking for something for dessert and then starting the last episode...

Sigh... the last episode is always such a sad thing to say...

At least you have another series on hand!

It's lemonade kept in a freezer until you need it.

It's lemonade with the same alcohol content as beer.
