The new all-conservative team of Teri O'Brien and Art Wallis is better than the somewhat conservative Don Wade and the liberal Roma.
• Many more of the segments are about politics; • there seem to be less commercials; • both the new comers are social conservatives, which Don was not; • don't have to turn the channel when Roma whips out her little red book; • Teri doesn't coddle liberal guests like Don
Wow I used to listen to them here in indiana on the way to work, but roma was so boring and don would just pat himself on the back. I stopped, but now maybe I will tune in again. When did this happen?
Don & Roma rebuffed their contract offer and there last day on the air was September 14 until/if they come to terms.
Don Wade is hilarious, and Roma is great too. They're staunch supporters of the President.
Maybe I've spent too many years driving to work with D&R, but I'm not crazy about the new team. Add this to the list of reasons WLS is rarely on in my car anymore.
I also notice last week for the first time that Roe Conn in the afternoons is a Bush supporter. I rarely listened because my initial take was that he is just a divorced, glib, hedonist, but last week he said that he didn't care what the women in his life want or whether Bush was less sylish in the debates that he didn't want to pay more taxes and live in nuclear fallout from terrorists.
By Don & Roma's own ommision Roma usually cancels out Don't vote.
