Time For Kerry To Release SAT Records
Myself | 10-04-04 | my favorite headache

Posted on 10/04/2004 2:22:59 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

Why does John Kerry refuse to release his SAT scores? Why does he refuse to release his medical records among other documents?

The supposed comments now circulating since the first debate are again the usual DNC talking points...Bush is dumb..Kerry is a well spoken political genius.

I say prove it. Bring out the SAT scores. Let's get to the bottom of it. Bush has not hid anything..everything is public. Bush's SAT scores are higher than Bill Bradley's, Paul Wellstone's, and reportedly, John Kerry's.

Bush scored a 1206 on his SAT, 566 of 800 on verbal and 640 of 800 on math. [Since the SAT's scale has since been "recentered," Bush's score is more like a 1300 today.Bush's verbal score would place him between the 84th and 92nd percentile of college-bound students, or the 93rd to 97th percentile of ALL high-school seniors taking the exams, the percentile usually used.

His math score would also place him between the 84th and 92nd percentile of college-bound students, or the 94th to 98th percentile of ALL high-school seniors taking the exams, the percentile usually used.

Using one method to extract IQ's from these SAT scores, Bush's IQ would be somewhere between 124 and 137. Hardly a dunce, that's at least in the top six percent of Americans.

We all hear of Bush's supposed college mediocrity, but in reality his "worst" courses were two C-minus scores. Accounting for grade inflation, Bush's worst grades are around today's B-minuses.

Recentered SAT: 1300 IQ: 124-137 Worst inflated grade: B- Stupid: Definately not. Bush Gore Sat scores SAT Percentile Rankings,IQ Scores Implications

I wonder how much Theresa paid his doctors for the "robust health" assessment.

Why do we need his SAT scores, since he went to Boston College? After Yale, Bush was able to get into the
Harvard Business School, but Kerry was only able to get into
Boston College Law School. I assume that Kerry wasn't as smart as Bush and was lucky to get Boston College. His Emotional Quotient isn't any higher. He's dumb to the bone.

Repeat after me:

WHAT IS KERRY HIDING ABOUT HIS HEALTH?

WHAT IS KERRY HIDING ABOUT HIS SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS?

WHAT IS KERRY HIDING ABOUT HIS MILITARY RECORD IN VIETNAM?

WHAT IS KERRY HIDING ABOUT HIS MILITARY RECORD POST-VIETNAM?

LOL. Here at Notre Dame, we love everybody's rips on Boston College. Although they are our Catholic bretheren in Christ, they still remain the nation's worst BC -- BACK-UP COLLEGE.

Go Irish! Beat Eagles!

A sure way to get Kerry to sign form 180 before the American people

Posted on 10/02/2004 2:33:21 AM PDT Why didn't the Prez when the moderator asked him if there was anything about his opponents (I forget the word he used) moral character, etc.....reply: "Not per se, but my opponent and the party he represents has made numerous accusations about my National Guard Service as a Fighter Pilot, all which have proven to be false. In light of my signing a form 180 that released all my Military records to refudiate those accusations I would request that my opponent do likewise.

As a matter of fact I just happen to have the appropriate from 180 here for the good Senator's signature so he can sign it before the American people tonight....

Why in the name of heaven would I care about his SAT scores (I only took the ACT), his LSAT scores (I scored in the 94th percentile), his GPA (mine stunk, didn't like to study much), or anything else about his high school or university aptitude?

The finest president in the last hundred years didn't go to law school, and was regarded as a bozo.

So, am I now supposed to care about Ronald Reagan's high school scores?

We need to get real, here, folks.

We should do a pajama push for them to all media outlets here in the remaining weeks.

I'd much rather focus on the form 180!

One of the undisclosed documents reflect a Less Than Honorable Discharge! Don't you think?

We are fighting a public relations war...no offense. This unfortunately seems to be the way polls and numbers are reflected as well as general consesus among liberals and the media..that Bush is a moron.

I think we should let the facts stand clear...Kerry needs to release all records..INCLUDING his academic records.

SATs at the time that Bush and Kerry went to Yale were about 99th percentile and above, with VERY few exceptions. I know, that's what I had to score at the same time.

Bush's performance was slightly better than Kerry's. Bush's results are released. Kerry's aren't, but he was there for two years overlapping with my years. He was sloppy academically. Coasting was his specialty. (I don't entirely disapprove that; did some of it myself.)

I'm pointing to the precedent that this sort of stuff sets. I dislike the Dems and Kerry and the Clintonistas, et al, as much as anybody, but if this precedent were set before RR, and if it was given any credence at all, he would have been laughed out of the primaries.

The line we draw today can (and will) be used to strangle us tomorrow.

Some of the wisest men that I've met, on the face of this planet, barely made it through junior high or high school. I'd put my kids in their trust, if ever they were to become president. I want wisdom, not scholastic or materialistic achievement in a candidate.

I understand your interest, but............

I got a 566 also on the verbal back in 1966. Scored higher than that on the math. Guess the scoring has changed since then.

We're not just stupid, we're backward-thinking. We have such outdated morals, thinking homosexuality is a sin and abortion is murder, for instance. I mean, those ideas are from like the Dark Ages or something. /sarcasm

It is also used to defend why schools employ largely liberal staff. Even the Houston Comical runs several idiotorials and letters every year claiming that "educated people have to be liberal because it is the only logical position to have on the issues".
