As for the naysayers on this thread: I, too, am wary of folks who put words in God's mouth.

However, I believe anyone who *removes* words from God's mouth, i.e., mocks words God has spoken or declares a word from the Lord to be not of the Lord, is also in great danger.

And to the extent that He is speaking today, those of us who are seeking Him in such ways will adjust our prayers and our actions according to the what we have received from His guidance sent in realtime. For me, a big part of this is to prayerfully discern if the item is truly of Him and from Him or not. And then, PRAY for His intervention if He is warning of a coming attack or natural disaster or other mishap.

As a normal routine, I pray for my immediate family, for leaders in government, for my pastor and his wife, for my extended family, for church members, co-workers, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, and prayer requests given me; and I also lift up prayerfully ongoing situations that would benefit from His blessing, His provision, His healing, His guidance, His deliverance, His miracles, His sustenance, His presence, His comfort, His saving grace, His Words, His LOVE.

The God I know is present in my life. Yes, He guides me through His Holy Word, which I love and prove I love by obeying, sharing, studying, and memorizing. He also speaks to my heart - I strive discern such heartfelt impressions so as to recognize His voice and discern what's from the enemy or just my own mind and what is truly from HIM. It is wise to remember His sheep know His voice, as has been pointed out repeatedly here.

He speaks to me through wise counselors. And through other people too. I often pray and ask Him, Father God, is this of You? Please show me.

I rarely remember my dreams, and except for one dream that's been repeated to me at least a dozen times over the last fifteen years (which has to do with Des Moines, Iowa -- hundreds of miles from anywhere I have ever lived); and then one time twenty-some years ago I dreamt of a house of red brick and then after went by my best friends' house to see a rental house (which we ended up living in) which was built with red brick; except for those two, I can't say I am aware of having received any dreams that impressed me as being from the Lord.

That doesn't stop me from listening to any Christians that feel a dream of theirs came from the Lord and was meant to benefit others. I listen, I discern, I cry out in my heart to the Lord to bear witness if it's from Him. I adjust my intercessory prayer accordingly.

For those of us with the Faith to do so, we open ourselves to God's proceeding presence in our lives. He is with us, He fills us with strength, with life, with love, with joy, with hope, and we allow ourselves to yield to His guidance in our daily routines. When we pray, our prayers have the faith to see Him move in realtime in answer to such prayers. It is a joyous thing. He preserves us, quickens us, protects us, sets us on high, delivers us from the snare of the fowler, speaks through a still small voice, tells us when to move to the left and when to the right, with long life He satisfies us and shows us His salvation.

Mockers, you aren't mocking Quix or any others who have the faith and discernment to know the difference between imaginery words and TRUE dreams or propehcies sent by the Lord Himself. You are mocking God.

As I was praying this morning, it shocked me a bit to be made aware of something else . . .

As they wrap their smug self-righteous robes of self-righteousness around them about how wonderful they are for battering the thread up with their 'truly truest truly TRUE, TRUE, TUREST TRUE TRUTH' (according to them, of course), they haughtily demean and curse anyone and anything else that does not agree lock stock and idolatrousness with their tidy little boxed construction on Scripture and reality.

They come on this thread that they didn't start. They hijack it, steal it and then proceed to castigate the thread's purposes, concepts and Scriptural interpretations and even the operations of HOLY SPIRIT! And they pat themselves on the back that they are thereby doing God's work.

And then when I feel finally a burning in my bosom to set the record straight about the pit of hell being the origin of their doctrine of demons, they throw ANOTHER hissy fit!

Obviously they are the only popes allowed to say when someone has violated Scripture according to their tidy little box. If anyone else calls THEM to account, then it's beyond the pale by definition. Typical double standard of such mentalities, in my experience.

It's not really a big matter to me. People have been throwing hissy fits against me all my life. But I know that The Lord treats the operation of HIS SPIRIT in the end times era as very serious business.

And just as Christ was fiercely hostile at the pharisees of His dusty pathed days from constructing endless additions to the law to prevent the common man from getting close to God and OPERATING ROUTINELY IN THE BLESSINGS OF THAT INTIMACY,

SO NOW, IS HE ALSO INCREASINGLY FURIOUS AT FOLKS WHO DO ESSENTIALLY THE SAME THING REGARDING HIS SPIRIT WHOM HE SENT TO LEAD ALL MAN INTO ALL TRUTH THROUGHOUT THE AGES FROM THEN, TO NOW.

Quix this is the problem right here. These people are not of the bible or of any truth.

I have asked them before to explain what they are claiming to be this great truth and to point out scripture. They never have and my guess is 'can't'. All Christians are more than happy to spread the Word.

Also take note every time the Word comes out they leave.

All you ever get from them is some general idea that does not align with scripture or a statement like let me go pray about it and get back to you. They come back and say go read 5 or 6 books of the bible they pick out of the air.

If they were true followers of the truth and student's of the Word they would be ready to share GODS Word. That is our purpose as Christians.

I can make more sense out of Traveller2022 our favorite terrorist than these people. At least he knows the koran.

On the other hand if you want to talk scripture as it applies to dreams and vision I will be very happy to share. Matthew 7 15 "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 "You will know them by their fruits. Sadly, too much truth in what you write.

I don't know their hearts--at least, not for certain.

I think, hope that a portion of their hearts really desire to walk with God and to have a RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

But so far, what I observe is

an obsession with the text very akin to the obsession the pharisees of Jesus' dusty pathed days with the law--the text of that era.

And, it would be different

IF their obsession with the text was

A LOT MORE

congruent

WITH THE TEXT!!!

But wholesale layers of it; the focus of their distortions and private interpretations and evidently what really too persistently bears all the hallmarks of a doctrine of demons from hell--all that is

directing people AWAY FROM MOMENT BY MOMENT INTIMACY WITH GOD--THE FATHER, SON AND SPIRIT.

The Scriptures for them appear to have become channels which direct them not to God but into endless cycles of mental, intellectual, ego driven, law driven text masturbation. And even that is fruitless.

It doesn't bring life and certainly not eternal life but keeps directing folks to endless dead works, dead ends--lock-step law keeping of a dead, dry, fruitless sort that has no moment by moment enlivening by God's Spirit--God's LIVING, ACTIVE, *CURRENT,* SPECIFIC-TO-THE-PERSON-AND-MOMENT WORD OF GOD to direct and bring Resurrection Life to that person in that moment and that situation--and thereby to all around.

It's just sad.

I pray that before God wraps things up with history as we've known it and they pass from this life to the next, by whatever route--that they realize and submit to Holy Spirit's direction and active CURRENT ministry in their lives. Alas, I'm not optimistic.

I had hopes when one of their number began a more rational, even tempered, more authentic sounding 'dialogue' that there might actually be some iron sharpening iron true dialogue between us. I should have known better. These ducks virtually never change their quacks so easily or quickly as that!

Sure enough, the hardballs with poisoned spikes came out again fairly quickly. And this on our thread started for an entirely different purpose.

They clearly have NO REGARD WHATSOEVER for the golden rule of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thankfully, even in my outrage and sternness with them, EVEN IN THAT VERY STERNNESS, I WAS DOING UNTO THEM AS I'D HAVE WISHED DONE UNTO ME were I walking in the kind of error they are obviously walking in, according to The Scriptures.

It was the most loving thing I could think of doing with them--to try and forcefully hit them upside the head with startling, pointed words to get their attention such that PERHAPS Holy Spirit could slip some truth into their being in the process or perhaps when they were not so alert to such possibilities from being pricked with such pointedness. Some people have reached me for good in such ways at such times. And, God has mercifully used me to reach many people through such 'foolishness of God' ways through this flawed vessel. But, I knew the odds were against it even in the best of times.

Evidently they think that stealilng another brother's thread; wholesale trashing the purposes of the thread; the Scriptural foundation of the thread AND assaulting and trashing the personhood and Christianity of the thread originator--and demanding that one and all kowtow to their unBiblical demon doctrines of closing one's ears and eyes to Holy Spirit's ongoing ministry an communications--evidently they construe all that as righteous saintliness. I don't think Christ agrees.

Welllll, we have certainly tried and with more patience than they have shown by light years of difference.

I've been skeptical that they really left when Scripture came out in a flood. But you are right. If they can't manipulate their proof texts effectively toward putting people under the 'Holy Spirit'-silenced-and-locked-in-a-first-century-monestary-cell demon doctrine--then they aren't really interested in any true dialogue about the Scriptures.

Ah well. It's probably a good thing. i PRAY that there is some significant part of their hearts left that prevents them from being classified wholesale or 100% as 'whited sepulchres' in Jesus' words. But, I must say, there's scant evidence on this thread that there's anything teachable left in their hearts, minds and spirits--AT ALL.

Most of my adult life, I've treated their espoused position as just one more Biblical area where reasonable people can come to different conclusions. But in recent years, as the end times have raced ever more rapidly and ever more dramatically to their Biblically prophecied conclusion, I have come to see that set of doctrines of man; doctrines of demons as just that--hideous distortions designed to keep people away from intimacy with God--just as the RELIGIOUS SPIRIT stuff of Jesus' dusty pathed days was engineered to do--and did so effectively--and which so extremely outraged our Lord and triggered HIS MOST FIERY AND STERNNEST ZEAL.

I think God "demonstrates" this fact in every second of every day and has for all time -- past, present and future.

Some folks are just unaware of it or choose not to see His Hand in every leaf that falls.

What a Thread, I woke up this morning, some oddball dream, but I remember, something like 2 shots in the nightsky, sort of the way flares look, red but more dramatic than your usual flares.

I recently had what I believe is a profound prophetic experience. I was preaching in an African American church in San Francisco when a tall man and his entourage entered the room. With every eye on him, he made his way to the front row and sat down. I did not know who he was, but after I finished preaching, the pastor introduced him as the mayor of San Francisco! He then asked me to pray for him. The Spirit of the Lord stirred me with conviction and agitation as I stretched out my hand to him and prayed forcefully, "God, I thank you that all earthly government is derived from your heavenly government. Therefore, let this man know that he will be held accountable for everything he does in this city under the government of God. In Jesus' name. Amen."

Three weeks later, this same man, Gavin Newsome, mayor of San Francisco, was on the front page of every newspaper in America, having ignited the same sex marriage firestorm in America by instructing city clerks to issue gay marriage licenses.

Sent to Warn Our Leaders

As I pondered this amazing 'coincidence', God gripped me with the conviction that He had sent me to warn this man in the spirit of Psalm 2:10, "Therefore, you kings, be wise, be warned you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way."

This warning was not for Mayor Newsome alone, but prophetically represents leaders and politicians everywhere. I believe it is a prophetic picture of the Church's role in this hour; to stand for righteousness and justice and to soberly warn those in authority who would pass laws that hold the Law of God in contempt. The same-sex marriage issue transcends political differences and touches on the very foundations of society.

A Clash of World Views

In this confrontation, I felt that God was thrusting me again, as in 2000, into the spiritual and cultural battle for our nation. These upcoming elections are not about the war or the economy, but about the titanic clash of worldviews - one which can still call evil 'evil' and good 'good' because it is founded on a biblical worldview espoused by our forefathers - and the other based on relativity, where ethics are vague and absolute truth does not exist.

Let us be very clear on this: God is neither a Republican nor a Democrat. He stands alone, above all governments of men, unmoved by the raging sea of history. He judges nations, and He does not ask kings and presidents for their opinion. Instead, He holds them accountable to carry out His unchanging Law lest they come under His wrath, as Psalms 2 reminds us.

God instituted human government to bring order to society and to restrain violence. Romans 13: 3-4 tells us, the government should hold no terror for the blameless, since it bears the sword to punish evildoers. However, when governments become renegade, they cross their own boundaries and use that sword against the innocent. Through legalized abortion, over 40 million American babies have been terrorized in the womb since 1973. Yet the church still votes for those who sanction this atrocity!

Through our votes, we are guilty before God of making alliances with governments whose laws enshrine evil, particularly the evil of shedding innocent blood, the ultimate moral offense.

America at the Crossroads

In a few short months, America will vote again and the stakes are even higher this time. The outcome of this election will shape America's judicial future for decades to come. The next President of the United States of America will almost certainly decide the fate of legalized abortion and whether millions of innocent lives will continue to be taken 'legally' in our country.

Chief Justice Rehnquist, appointed 32 years ago by Nixon, is now 80. Justice Stevens, a liberal, is 84 years old. Justices O'Connor and Ginsburg are 74 and 71 years old, respectively. Any of these pro-choice Justices could vacate their seats during the next 4 years, due to illness, death or retirement.

In 2000, in Stenberg v. Carhart, the U.S. Supreme Court - by a narrow 5-4 vote - struck down a Nebraska abortion ban. This five-member pro-choice majority would be overthrown by the appointment of just one new Justice, potentially by the next president!

In January 2004, we officially closed The Call offices, having fulfilled our mandate from the Lord for that season. However, our country and our leaders remain in desperate need of prayer, now more than ever. In fact, I believe that we are at a place of far greater crisis than we were in 2000. This is not hype or rhetoric, but a sober assessment of our national condition.

In the four short years since The Call DC, America has endured the horrors of 9/11 and fought two wars that continue to claim lives.

The nation and the church are buckling under an escalating spiritual and moral crisis, punctuated by events such as the removal of the Ten Commandments from the Alabama courthouse, the Catholic Church sex abuse scandals and the ordination of a practicing homosexual, given a place of prominence and spiritual authority within the Body of Christ as an Episcopal Bishop. Last month, Massachusetts (home state of Sen. John Kerry) became the first state in our nation's 200 year history to recognize homosexual marriage in bold defiance of the law of God."

Governmental House of Prayer

In light of these things, I am compelled, as never before, by the word the Lord spoke to me, "Raise up a House of Prayer that will contend with every other house."

Now is time for a House of Prayer that will contend for the government of our land!

We believe God is calling for 120 young Nazirites to come to Colorado Springs for 50 days of day and night worship and intercession. We're inviting thousands more to join them at this 24/7 Governmental House of Prayer at the Navigator's Facility from July 10 to August 28, 2004.

This will be no easy walk in the park.

It will be intense. Each student will be expected to give eight hours a day or night. Many will go on extended fasts. The night watches will be as important as the day battles.

I am asking for worship teams that can carry the fire of worship. There will be two-hour shifts for devotion and spiritual refreshing. Then we will follow the Lord again into the battle for the elections, for the courts of our nation and the overturning of Roe v. Wade, for a great youth awakening, for the ending of the Iraq war and for a powerful move of the Holy Spirit in the homosexual communities of America.

While many are convinced that George Bush somehow 'stole' that election, we believe it was the prayers of the church which ultimately decided the outcome of that struggle, as God intervened in human affairs in response to our intercession. Many ministries, including The Call DC, called for extended fasting and prayer during that time and perhaps as many as 1 million people went on a 21-day fast.

It is clear that this coming election will be just as bitterly fought and just as closely won by whomever triumphs.

I believe this is the hour for thousands of young people to come to Colorado Springs to shake the heavens over America for 50 days! Will you help us do this - through your prayers and by giving generously to this cause? Thank you in advance for joining us in this battle.

Are you saying you believe it to be some hint from The Lord?

Or are you not sure and asking for input on that issue?

Or are you asking for interpretation as to the meaning? I'm not usually very fantastic on interpretations. Sometimes I can offer some insight in logical ways.

Did the dream have any special 'feel' about it compared to all other routine dreams or not?

To a degree, yes.

But nothing like what I sense is coming. What's coming will be many orders of magnitude beyond what has EVER happened on the planet.

Perhaps a family in particular, the family as a social structure, or both are about to be demolished. It fits with the gay marriage nightmare.

Wasn't asking about fear.

It's hard to describe.

What few dreams I've had from The Lord have all had subtle to not so subtle extra perceptive sorts of things which bespoke an unusual, Holy Spirit breathed phenomenon.

I don't know that it's always an altered state of consciousness sensation . . . but something in that direction. Something that sort of says--ALERT--PAY ATTENTION--THIS IS SPECIAL INFORMATION I NEED YOU TO NOTICE AND REMEMBER.

Sometimes it is to pray about for an extended time.

Sometimes it is to pray about briefly and act on because the issue or situation spoken to in the dream is going to transpire soon.

Sometimes it is just to pray and ponder for an indefinite time as another puzzle piece preparing us for something still unknown.

Did you ask God what it was about and what He wanted you to do with the information?
