Dear Lord in Heaven,
Please put Your healing hand on Sylvia.
Guide the doctors as they tend to Sylvia's case.
Comfort the Mr. Hattend.
I humbly ask all of this in
Jesus' name.
Amen.
Prayers sent.
She is at the doctor right now for consultation. We are lucky to have a friend who's husband is a doctor and onb a couple of hospital board of directors. He is helping to "fast track" this whole diagnosis.
Prayers continuing....
May God heal your lovely bride fully, comfort, and keep you both strong in His love.
Amen,.......Infinite Grace and Mercy,........In Jesus' Precious Name, Amen!!!
Continued prayers for Sylvia.
If it is an ovarian cyst, then the prognosis should be excellent. Gynecologists can typically perform a laprascopic procedure. With laprascopic procedures, recovery is much faster and complications of adhesions down the road is much less. If it is an ovarian cyst, then things should be pretty much routine for an experienced gynecologist. Typically the treatment for an ovarian cyst is to do nothing and observe, unless the cyst is causing too much pain then the gynecologist will perform the surgery. Some gynecologists may elect to place the patient on hormone therapy. But in Sylvia's case with her previous hysterectomy, I would talk to the doctors more to get all the pro and cons of everything. Other differential diagnosis to consider...ovarian torsion, endometriosis, appendicitis, renal colic/kidney stones, etc...I hope all goes well for the both of you.
Prayers, light and postive thoughts coming Sylvia's way........

The best thing the doctor did for me, at age 35, was save one of my ovaries. Many years later I'm still grateful.
Continuing in prayer for Sylvia and doctors.

Okay, On Thursday, Sylvia goes in for surgery. They are unable to do a clear diagnosis with surgery so they are going to expose the ovaries, take a piece for exam and if benign they will take the offending ovary (and maybe both...they will decide at the time). If it is malignant, they will take more than just the ovarty (lymphatic tissues, etc)
I am going down to California tonight and will be back on Monday to let you all know what they did. I will be away from FR ujntil Monday afternoon.
Thanks for all your prayers, please continue for a speedy recovery.
oops, second sentence should read:
They are unable to do a clear diagnosis withOUT surgery....

Sylvia went into surgery at 6:30PM Thursday night at San Ramon Regional Hospital (California Cancer Center) and the doctor made 4 incisions and took a look (laproscopy) and samples from her left ovary. It was a very bad case of endometriosis. There was no cancer indicated at all.
Before surgery, Sylvia had given the doctor permission to take her right ovary if it was not "crystal clear" so when the doctor found some very small flecks of endometriosis on it, he removed it, too.
So she is now going to be on hormone treatments but she is already up and moving about (Not being there, I can't get her to rest so I have her mom living at the house for the next few days to make sure Sylvia stays in bed...heheheheh). She gets her staples out later this week.
Thank you all again for your prayers. They were truly a great help in the diagnosis, I am sure of that.
BTW: I highly recommend the San Ramon Regional Hospital if, God forbid, you need a cancer treatment/diagnostic. I hate hospitals, but this one was top notch, I can not say enough nice things about the people who work there.
Thank you, FReepers for your prayers. the power of prayer is awesome!
God Bless
Don
Praise the Lord. :-)
