Cows only digest about 15 percent of its intake. The kids were mainly eating grass or straw, or weeds, whatever the poor cow could find to eat in southern India. The Buddists aren't known for taking good care of them.

How do you MAKE someone eat something?? Why would ANYONE help the teacher by bringing in dung?

That's right. I also hear that it has a pleasant narcotic effect when you smoke it. What's not so good is pig sh*t. I just got hit in the head by a pile from a low flying sow. :o)

Err slight error,South India has few Buddhists.India is a Hindu majority secular democracy & it is Hindus who consider the cow as a sacred animal .South India has about 60 % of India's population of 24 million odd Christians & quiet a few Muslims as well.

In India the teacher makes the kids eat cow dung. In the US the teachers feed the kids bullsh!t....
