Did these news organizations watch the same debate?

One, the DNC orchestrated an immediate post-debate posse to flood online polling. They'd been planning it for a week, so don't put too much stock in those.

That said, Bush didn't perform all that well. I'm sure Kerry supporters are sleeping well, and that Bush supporters are sleeping okay.

If you think Bush won the debate handily, I'd suggest you might not be looking at it dispassionately.

I'm sure some Kerry supporters thought it was the best television ever, and some Bush supporters thought it was the best television ever, but it was neither. It was closer to a draw. A somewhat unexciting draw. No one hit anything out of the park.
