Don't Believe Style over Substance (A Shameless Vanity)

Kerry may have appeared the slicker of the two candidates today, but Bush will win in the end hands down.

Kerry told us today that he would give the Mullahs in Iran nuclear fuel, that he was against the bunker busting bomb (how else do you fight a war against WMDs stashed in bunkers?), and that he admitted that he would apply a “global test” to our Nation’s foreign policy.

Mr. Kerry, the likes of France and Germany have no right to tell us what to do if we are attacked and you are an idiot for thinking otherwise. This is a simple concept. The American public does not want their security handed over to the likes France, Germany, and the UN. Why can't you grasp that concept? It's about our Nation's Security, stupid. Not France’s, not Germany’s, and certainly not the United Nations’.

Kerry also told a bald faced lie to the American people when he said that the Subways in NYC were closed down for the RNC, erroneously inflated the cost of the Iraq War, and confused the name of a square in Moscow with a Nazi death camp.

Additionally, he lied about never calling Bush a liar.

I am still trying to figure out Kerry’s Iraq policy because, despite his claims, his opinion has wavered and he has never been consistent. This is a guy who voted to use force in Iraq, but wouldn't fund the soldiers on the ground. A duplicitous liar who bashed Bush for not giving the troops armor, when he wouldn't even pay for bullets. A guy who was for the war, then against it, then for it, and against it, for it, and finally against it.

Even tonight, Kerry was speaking out of both sides of his mouth. I can't quite figure out if he thinks Saddam should have been removed from power. At one point he admitted that he should have, later, he said that we rushed to war. Which is it Senator? You can't have it both ways.

Hopefully we will see in the 527s have a field day with Kerry in the upcoming days. He really is UNFIT FOR COMMAND and the American people should know about his lies and misstatements.

Kerry is a danger to our country today, just like he was a danger to his unit when he was serving in Vietnam, to this country when he a state-side officer protesting against the Vietnam War, to his fellow military brethren when he met with the enemy in Paris in violation of U.S. law and called them terrorists on television, and against our nation’s security when he voted against just about every national defense bill in the Senate.

We need to get the word out to our family and friends that they shouldn't believe the slick girlie man who spewed lies like a snake oil salesman on national TV last night. A man that was more concerned about getting a manicure before the debate today, while our President was consoling those who lost so much because of Hurricanes Charlie, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne.

Please tell your family and friends to vote for George W. Bush, the man who has kept us safe since 9/11, who has taken the war on terror to the terrorists, and has liberated 25,000,000 people in Iraq and Afghanistan. The alternative is just too scary.

My friend, the truth is the Ultimate Straddler TM wanted to have it BOTH ways. After all he wants to please both the ABB crowd and more sensible swing voters. A tall order.

William Weld said Kerry looked like John Kennedy Jr. during the debate and now watching the re-run of it, I think that was his plan. Pres. Bush is there as himself, but Kerry re-invented himself again and spent hours doing it. Style over subsance is all he has ever been...back with the phoney Purple Hearts and all through the years.

What would you rather have in combat a nice beautiful top of the line rifle thats broken(Kerry), or an older model that operates flawlessly and is very reliable and dependable(Bush)....That is your Style over Substance argument.... IF YOU DON'T HAVE SUBSTANCE THE STYLE DOESN'T MATTER CAUSE YOUR DEAD...

I'm still shaking my head over so much handwringing around here tonight. I suggest people do what I did, which was to listen to it on the radio. Don't let the glass teat have undue influence.

"I'm still shaking my head over so much handwringing around here tonight."

Some people do seem real down about it. I'm not swayed by Kerry trying to "Christmas-tree" every answer on the test, which is what metaphorically what he did. Bush nailed Kerry on plenty of important points.

Wait for the polls.

The hand wraggling was aggravating me to no end tonight too. Bush did just fine. He's the POTUS. He can't be expected to fire away at the challenger with all guns blazing. He has to look Presidental. His surrogates will come out attacking in the morning.

I personally don't know how Bush kept his cool. If I were Bush, the words liar would have came out of my mouth about 10 times because Kerry was telling some pretty big whoppers out there. That's probably why I couldn't run for President because the F-bomb would have definately been dropped on Pinnochio Kerry a few times and I would have been fined more than Howard Stern could ever dream of.

Bottom line is we need to remain as positive as possible, keep our eyes on the ball and make sure that W gets reelected. This debate just showed me how scary the alternative is.

I like the radio idea, or even better a transcript! I just caved in and watched tonnight cause I hoped Kerry might look really grotesque (he still looked bad enough) and of course I never miss a chance to see my President (YUMMM) - need some brush-clearing, flight-deck-landing, Florida comforting images as an antidote to this artificial nonsense!

the funny/ironic thing is, before the debates the talk was that Bush would win style and Kerry would win substance...

personally I would rather win substance... Would you rather a girl like you for your style or substance? Styles change with trends, if she likes you for your substance you will be married a long time, if you treat her right...

i would rather he won on both style and substance... or instead i style, i should say delivery... i wish his delivery of the substance would have been cleaner... now--i still think it's funny that all the media and all the pundits were out there all week saying W would win on style (because of his likeabililty) and Kerry on substance (i don't know why they thought he'd have substance)... i believe they were trying to make excuses for Kerry... probably because of his low likeability...

btw--i highly recommend TOASTMASTERS for anyone wanting to hone or even establish his/her public speaking skills...

anyone raising future leaders, help your children become comfortable with public speaking now... there are lots of ways to do this...
